What do you make of the current state of polling for the 2026 midterms?
Currently, the RealClearPolitics average for the generic congressional vote is D+8.3. I understand that TS are generally distrustful of polling, but I want to point out that in 2022, the RealClearPolitics average for the congressional vote was R+2.5, and the results ended up being R+2.8. In 2018 the average was D+7.3 and the results ended up being D+8.4.
Do these polls concern you? Is there anything Trump or the GOP should be doing to try to stem the tide a bit? How do you think the midterms are going to go in both the House and Senate?

What are your thoughts about Trump claiming "I haven't thought about it" in regards to being asked when it will be safe to eat lettuce again?

Is this something they announce ahead of time? Any channels I should pay particular attention to? Not particularly interested in seeing it at 11pm on a weeknight or breaking my neck
The Abdul rally was PACKED
All three levels completely packed to fight for a better future. Primary is August 4. Let’s go GR!!!
You guys need to start zipper merging on the Beltline going south now that that lane is closed
I know this topic has been discussed to death on this sub but seriously, I feel like such a dick driving past a mile of stopped traffic because everybody is merging early. Today, somebody flipped out and nearly ran me off the road when I tried to merge at the merge point. Please get it together
Justin Rackham vs Khristian Silvis in the 84th District State House D primary?
Hey all. Trying to do some research about who I'm gonna vote for in the primary next month. This is for the 84th District State House primary which encompasses most of downtown and NW GR. The main bit of information I could find on this race was this article: https://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/2026/06/2-democrats-compete-in-aug-4-primary-for-state-house-seat-representing-grand-rapids-area.html
In it, all of Justin's responses are short and lack substance, and some of them honestly make him seem a bit dumb. Like the question on energy reliability, consumer affordability, and environmental protection, he said: "Saving energy water and people follow the guideline". What?
Anyone have any more information on this race? From this article alone seems like Khristian Silvis would be an easy pick, but what were you all thinking?
I really fear my billfold was sliced. Will you take a look at it? I don’t have the fucking time, I can’t be bothered.
Abdul El-Sayed will be in GR on Thursday, June 25! Details to come
Was not expecting this massive storm to blow in today, especially as suddenly as it did
Batten down the hatches GR
Do you guys think they'll add the schizo Squidward meme in GTA6?
I think it's possible if not likely by this point.
THIS STORM AINT SHIT
I'm pretty close to downtown and it's barely even windy. Just started raining and thundering a bunch though
What’s a well that SNL goes to a lot for an “easy” laugh?
Not a running joke, but specifically a type of joke or topic that comes up frequently and always gets a laugh. For example, it feels like pretty much every season there are at least a couple jokes about the lack of screen time a first-year cast member is getting.
What are topics (ideally non-political as I feel like that makes the question too easy) you’ve realized SNL goes to the well on a lot for an easy laugh?
How do you feel about the White House's messaging that we should "trust in Trump" and that "it will all work out in the end - it always does"?

What do you make of this type of messaging? Do you think it will resonate with voters?

[GTA 6 News] Multiple reports suggest that GTA 6 trailer 3, along with pre-orders and cover art are expected to drop in a few hours
Could this finally be it? What do you all think?
Assuming they'd have everything written for them and all they had to do was show up to rehearsal and read the cards. Do you think an average person could make this a passable episode, or is there no way? Some of the athletes that have hosted the show seemed to have negative charisma and I sometimes can't help but feel like I could probably do better, but that of course is entirely unfounded and more than likely completely untrue. What do you all think? How do you think you'd do if you hosted?
