Some words are just Zappa words.

I'm a teacher, and every time I get to this section with my kids, I only think of one thing: the wet T-shirt contest and mammalian protuberances!

Sorry for the crappy picture, I'm not gonna screenshot it and send it to myself, and I'm not logging onto Reddit on my work computer.

First time poster. Thinking about going back to emergency again...

Tl:dr I (44 f) was hospitalized two weeks ago and seemingly doing fine since, but today I'm sick and throwing up and in left side pain again.

On Thursday, July 2, I went to the emergency room for uncontrolled vomiting and pain on my left side. I was told I had acute pancreatitis, given fluids and pains meds for a few hours, and allowed to go home. Less than two full days later (4th of July Saturday) I was back, pain and vomiting having returned. I was admitted overnight, told I have to have my gallbladder removed (even though I've never had a gallbladder attack in my life), and that I have a ruptured ovarian cyst. 🤷🏼 No mention of pancreatitis or how to deal with it (even though I still had pain on my left side). I was sent home late Sunday morning without a whole lot of instructions and blood pressure meds I didn't need. I followed up with an internal medicine doctor through the hospital a week later. I told him I had been following a pretty strict diet based on things I looked up regarding gallbladder and pancreas issues. He looked at all my imaging and labs from my hospital visit and told me I should "go back to normal". *I also told him that after a week, I had still been experiencing mild pain and fullness on my LEFT side.* I mentioned learning about pancreatic pseudocysts as well. He was unconcerned and again reiterated that I should just go back to normal.

Now, two weeks since my hospital stay, one week since the doctor follow-up, I threw up for the first time a few hours ago, then laid down and fell asleep for a couple hours. I've been up for about two hours now, and the left side pain is increased, radiating to my back, and I'm still queasy. All I've eaten today was two cutie oranges, some sips of protein shake, and roasted edamame. In spite of the doctor's advice, I've stayed pretty careful on my diet because going back to normal wasn't feeling right. I threw that all up. Since napping, I tried a couple more pieces of edamame and my husband went and got me some no sugar added popsicles and more apples and stuff cause those had been hitting right. I had one skinny popsicle. And I JUST threw that up. So that's twice in less than a day.

Since I am still VERY new to this lifestyle, I am also willing to admit I may have messed myself up yesterday by eating an entire can of Ranch Style Beans throughout the afternoon/evening. (I love all beans and will go back to black beans after this, but I just wanted that FLAVOR). I only ate little bits over the course of maybe five or six hours, but I did eat them all (save for the few bites my husband had). I did drain the excess liquid, which I imagine contained a fair amount of the fat, but maybe it was just too much for my system to take. I am wondering if just not eating for the rest of today, staying hydrated, and letting my body rest is the way to go from here, or if throwing up twice is enough of a sign to go back. I am stubborn and hate being the one who "needs help" so I tend to stick things out for as long as I can before actually seeking help, but I'm also not a masochist and am good at advocating for myself when it's needed.

It's taken me a while to write this, and even now my discomfort and queasiness is increasing again, after only having a few sips of water since the last time I threw up (maybe an hour ago). Dang.

Emergency vehicles at the Scottsdale Auto Mall???

We were just heading down the 101 South and I happened to notice A LOT of firetrucks, ambulances, and other vehicles with flashing lights. I'm genuinely curious if anyone knows what that is all about, because nothing is coming up in my searches! Sorry I couldn't get a picture!
