I want to buy the only ski boots I‘ll ever need. What’s your 2ct on my wish
UPDATE: Forever is ment as in „I will not out grow the boot in skill level or because it is lacking features of convenience/accessibility for stuff like touring“.
I am not a park rat, I like offpiste snowboarding or ripping down slopes and would really want to get into backcountry skiing. I like stiff boots when snowboarding but I don’t know how well that translates to skiing.
Hope this helps
I‘ve skied from the age of four to twelve, switched to snowboarding and tried skiing again last season. After 13 years I immediately got hooked on getting back into skiing. I want to buy a pair of boots that fit perfectly (boot fitting obviously) but I want to know your 2ct on what niche of boot I should look at if I really want to use it forever. Everything from the importance of skill level ratings, flex, features I should seek/avoid. Basically if you could teach your younger self a lesson about buying his/her first boot set, what would it be?
I’ve always had severe foot pain when I was younger which spoiled my experience with skiing. I never want to have that again.

I’m looking for the largest operational fastener/machine screw
I‘m preparing quiz questions for an upcoming team event. One of the questions will be about the size of the biggest thread ever fitted to a machine. This is currently the biggest screw I could verifiably find (1330mm thread diameter). Does anyone know of something bigger?
