I LOVE YOUR CITY
Tourist here, just left yesterday and I'm so sad about it. I'm from a small city in the south, so the concept of being able to go out to eat at all, let alone having a vegan option at almost every restaurant, is so forgein to me. Couple that with proper running/walking paths, the museums, and incredible art/music scene?? If I didn't already have a stable job in my city (and the worst seasonal depression known to man), I'd move here in a heartbeat. Here's where I ate over the two days I was in town:
- Kale My Name in Albany Park. The undisputed weather. My omni brother and fiancé who ate with me agreed that it was incredible
- Stan's Donuts downtown. Good chocolate donut, but I wouldn't bother going again.
- October Cafe in Norwood Park. Such a cute spot and great sandwiches!
- Buona in Harwood Heights. So nice to have a fast-casual option!
- Cafe 53 in Hyde Park. Just got a salad here because I wasn't hungry, but Hyde Park was probably my favorite neighborhood we walked through!
Truly such an incredible trip. I hope to be back soon!
