Rare to find 4 matching Ming Chippendale style Chinese fretwork armchairs. Art deco style clean lines. Upholstered brocade seat.
They need repainting (unless you’re a fan of a true vintage look) but are in otherwise very good condition. Solid, very comfortable. A generously sized seat
1500 for all 4 (negotiable)
DM any offers pickup only in Hells Kitchen
Can anyone give me an ID on the type(s) of wood this is made from? It’s been in storage for a couple years and I’m trying to date it and identify origination
Hello everyone, does anyone have any insight on these pieces? They are from a collection of an African Art Dealer that stored away all of their things many years ago. Thank you for all your help!
Hello everyone, all I have been able to determine about this is that it is a floor standing Chinese dinner gong and it’s all handmade. This piece was inherited from a late co founder for the New Museum in NYC. It is quite big, about waist level and has been sitting safely in storage for many years. Does anyone have any info or know how to identify anything about this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hey everyone, I was given these chairs by an old Chinese neighbor in NYC. Does anyone know about these chairs or know any info or identifiers to figure out age/maker? Thanks you for any help!
I recently came into possession of a huge amount of these brooches - they had been sitting in a storage locker for about 30-40 years and all have C JJ engraved in them. Does anyone know values and good places to sell them?
For context I had DJS three weeks ago. The most notable interactions I’ve had have been on neighborhood walks during my recovery where my neighbors will walk up to my mom to ask how I’m doing without them realizing it’s me standing next to her. I also just went to my job and no one knew who I was until I spoke. Has anyone else experienced this? I don’t actually think I look THAT different to the point of not being recognizable.
Just had double jaw surgery June 9th for a class III bite and asymmetry, this is my progress so far up to day 14. Still pretty swollen I think and definitely more swollen on my right side currently. I have at least 4 more weeks of no chew so please drop some good ideas. Last pic is a before X-ray of my bite
