What to get for a dog who destroys everything?

Hi,

This is Vinchy. He’s a Malinois/Staffy mix. Roughly 6 years old. My dad rescued him around a year and a half ago. He has gone from not knowing what toys are, to being toy crazy. The problem is, every toy we give him, hasn’t lasted more than 5 minutes 😅 We’ve tried tough toys, ‘indestructible’ toys, toys that are ‘too big’ nothing has been able to stand up to those maligator/bully chompers.
So, to anyone who has a fellow destruco-dog, was there anything that your dog couldn’t get through?

We’re UK based if that helps

Edited to add: He gets more than enough exercise and mental stimulation, I promise, we actually need to enforce rest periods because he will go forever if we don’t 😂 I know he’s a working, high energy breed, I swear we have that covered, he only destroys his toys and I think it’s through over excitement because he’s never had toys until we rescued him.

Antibiotics causing a flare?

Hi all,

On Saturday my dad’s dog accidentally split open my chin, had to go to hospital and get it fixed. I was put on antibiotics for precaution more than anything since dog related injuries often get infected, so as far as I’m aware, there is no actual infection to cause the flare up. Has anyone experienced flaring due to antibiotics? I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence but something in my head is telling me the cause is the antibiotics.

Incase needed ,it’s 500mg co-amoxiclav 3x daily

Anyone else get diagnosed really young?

*edited to add: I said diagnosed in the title, but also interested to hear if you devolved symptoms young but weren’t diagnosed until later in life, sorry!

I’m almost 33 now, but I was diagnosed with ME when I was 12 after a flurry of infections both bacterial and then viral (laryngitis, tonsillitis, a general throat infection into glandular fever) struggled heavily with both physical and mental health to the point I had to leave school at 13, multiple hospital visits and stays etc. The older I got, the more issues I had, as a teenager it was mostly mental health issues, but once I hit my 20’s I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, FND, IBS, PCOS, endo and now suspected EDS, plus other reoccurring issues. I’m just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? My sister has very similar medical issues that started very close to the age they started for me, but apart from her, I haven’t heard of anyone who was diagnosed as early. Most of the ME support outreach’s consist of people who were diagnosed later in life, so I’m curious how common it is.

How much exercise do you give your staffy?

I’ve being seeing a lot of conflicting information on how much exercise is ideal for staffys, and my girls annual check up isn’t until the end of the year, so I thought I’d ask, how much exercise do your babies get?

My girl just turned 7 in March, and daily she gets between 1hr-1.30hr walks, 30-45mins off leash (sometimes we play with the ball, sometimes she just runs crazy with my other dogs) with added play with myself or my other two dogs (12 year old lab/collie mixes) which varies day to day. I also try add in a lot of mental stimulation with puzzles, snuffle mats, hide and seek etc. She still had a ton of energy, and I’ve had a few people tell me she needs more, so I’m a bit worried I’m not doing enough

Can anyone give any info on these?

I got a fair few of these a few years ago, a gift from my well intentioned mum who has now passed. I’ve never been interested in reselling, I just collect but I am curious if anyone can tell me anything about them? Also, I am under the impression that they are fake 😅
