Around a month ago I dropped my phone on the pavement and the screen broke. It didn't have any screen protector on, because the last one broke and I kept forgetting to get a new one:')

I could live with it, but it's getting worse over time. Sometimes I can't even see the screen. :(

I have a OnePlus 10 Pro 5G (256GB 12GB RAM Dual)

I bought it back in 2023 and it was € 710. Now the same model costs € 1275 in the same store.

I tried to ask for repair at multiple places but apparently they don't do OnePlus phones where I live (Hungary).

I contacted OnePlus customer service, to find out what to expect in costs, and repairing the screen would be at least € 483.

For that amount I could get a decent phone, so I feel like I should try to sell my old one, and get a new one for a bit more money.

Any advice?

I (F23) started writing this post on a sub made for small businesses, - since I'm thinking about starting one, but no idea where to start - but I kinda just rambled about my current position and honestly I need to vent somewhere, so here it goes...

I'm currently working at a café as an assistant/bartender. I was hired as help in the kitchen but my boss quickly realized I'm overqualified for just dicing up vegetables and cleaning after the shifts so she kinda promoted me and I took over the office. I'm in charge of the phone, emails, orders, sorting paperwork, paying bills etc... But I'm also helping out at the counter when it's needed and I'm packaging our own products (like coffee beans for example).

You see I enjoy these things and I'm not overwhelmed by all the different responsibilities, what bothers me is that I'm still earning the exact same amount as I did in the kitchen because my position didn't change on paper.

I asked for a raise a while ago, but my boss shut me down by saying I have just gotten a raise (later I found out it's the yearly minimum raise that's mandatory for businesses and everyone got it...).

She's incredibly selfish, greedy and always convinced that everyone else is wrong but her. She also speaks disgustingly to some of the workers, but luckily she isn't rude to me, only sometimes.

Well I work 25 hours a week, and my work schedule is great, because our shifts are written based on our request. My coworkers are nice and I enjoy the job itself I'm just dissatisfied with the circumstances.

My boyfriend says I should look for another job, because this will make me miserable in the long run, but I'm scared. We live in a foreign country, because where we came from offers super low income and we wanted to get away from all that. I had a terrible time when I first looked for a job here though. Countless emails, many interviews and fails. I was depressed for months, because nothing worked out and all of my efforts were for nothing until this place hired me.

I know it's cowardly and convenient to just leave the situation as it is, but I don't know how I could do otherwise.

​

I would love to start a small business, I have multiple ideas as well, but currently I can't focus on it as I would want to, plus we're not that safe financially to make big purchases first, and it would be downright stupid to just quit and start to build it up 24/7 because living is expensive.

Any kind of advice would be deeply appreciated, and thank you if you read all that. :')
