the first picture is of before, the other two are of now(19 days difference ). I have been using ordinary hair density serum since more than 15 days and i oil my hair before every shower w an oil that contains: castor, coconut, almond, rosemary oil and other oils. I use pantenes biotin hair mask and elseve glycolic gloss shampoo and serum. my hair has always been thin, its genetic id say. I have curly hair so i shed a lot in showers and generally, and during stressful situations i shed even more. My hair is thin and less dense from the front and the whole temple and side area.
Please i need tips on how to get healthier hair, any advice will help. I have heard about minoxidil, but im skeptical because i researched that its toxic for pets and the effect is reversible, so anything other than that would help.
Hi everyone. I’ve been spending a lot of time learning about BPD by reading reliable information and browsing this community because I’m trying to better understand the disorder. Unfortunately, I can’t access a professional assessment right now due to my circumstances, so I’m not looking for anyone here to diagnose me. I’m just hoping to learn from people who actually live with BPD.
I have two questions, and I’d really appreciate hearing your personal experiences.
1. Is self-harm something that everyone with BPD experiences? I know it’s often mentioned as a symptom, but does everyone with BPD struggle with it? If not, how common is it? I’ve read a lot about it, but I’m curious about what it’s actually like for people who have BPD.
2. What does impulsivity look like for you? The DSM gives examples like reckless driving, unsafe sex, binge spending, substance use, and other risky behaviors. Since I’m young and don’t have access to a lot of those situations, I’m wondering whether impulsivity can show up in other ways too. If you’re comfortable sharing, what kinds of impulsive behaviors have you experienced in your day-to-day life?
I’m just trying to understand the disorder better by hearing from people with lived experience. Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
my gf has had a history of liking many east asian women(monolid eyes). Even the black people she has liked are blasian. This makes me really angry and scared because she had a really recognisable pattern of liking east asians.
She used to like kpop a lot and still does a little and listens to girl groups which bothers me because deep down my sane part knows its for fun but she has liked atleast one or two girls from every major kpop girl group so my mind diverts there a lot. Everytime she discusses anything about k kpop on the gc with my other friend who’s also a kpop fan i just feel so weird like, why do u know so much about them?
Yesterday, in a group chat, with me, my gf, and our friend, they both were having a convo about ed twt and how kpop idols encourage eating disorders amongst fans.. and all i felt was annoyed because why was my gf such an active part of that convo showing she has a lot of knowledge on it. I know her intentions are probably clear but i dont believe that due to the voices in my head. So after that i felt detached and didnt feel like talking to my gf. Also, whenever it comes to girls she has liked, i feel nothing but apathy towards them and wish them the worst ironically, not literally because i hate them with all my soul.
when did the igcse syllabus get updated for all sciences (chem, bio, phy)
how was it guysss, discuss the answers below plss i need reassurance.
My girlfriend and I(girl too) have been together for almost a year, and before dating we were friends. Even before we got together, her sister was the person she talked about most. It didn’t bother me much at first, but over time I started feeling like her sister constantly came before me.(FYI she doesnt know about our relationship )
There were multiple incidents that really stuck with me. My girlfriend and I were watching a show together, then she continued it with her sister and it became their thing. Whenever her sister visits, my girlfriend often cuts calls short, becomes dry, stops replying as much, or drops whatever we’re doing together to spend time with her. There have also been times where things I wanted to do with my girlfriend ended up becoming things she did with her sister instead.
These situations built up a lot of resentment in me. At this point, her sister is one of my biggest triggers. I split over her constantly. Even seeing her profile picture on Instagram can ruin my mood. Every delayed reply, every shift in my girlfriend’s tone, immediately makes me think her sister is around and that I’m about to lose my time with her again.
One of my biggest fears is that my girlfriend values her sister more than me. I also get intrusive thoughts that she’s emotionally attached to her sister in a way I can’t compete with, or that if she had to choose, she’d always choose her sister. I know these thoughts sound irrational, but they feel very real when I’m triggered.
Things got worse after her sister saw messages where I had been venting about her. Since then, I feel like my girlfriend became even more protective of her and their bond got stronger. It makes me feel even more excluded.
My girlfriend reassures me and tries to help, but the reassurance never lasts. The resentment and jealousy always come back. I’ve reached a point where I think about her sister every day, and when I split I become extremely angry and aggressive.
Has anyone with BPD experienced becoming this fixated on someone in their partner’s life? How did you stop seeing them as a threat when every part of your brain is convinced they are one?

my gf n i (girl too) have been in a rs since almost a year and before that we were friends. While we were friends her sister is the only thing shed talk about most of the time randomly and i didnt mind it when we were friends but even as a friend i started getting annoyed with how much she talks about her sister (not in a jealousy way).
Back to our rs. During the first stages, i didnt mind her sister at all, i actually liked her a lot and wanted to know her in person(still do but only when im not feeling bad because of her which is all the time). then after a while it got really weird for me because her sister would keep my gf away from me(she doesnt know about our rs) like taking her on hang outs all the time, going to watch movies, her coming over all the time. But despite all this i used to get just a little jealous and it didnt take my soul out or anything like it does now.
This is where it starts, my gf n i decided to watch the new season of the popular show tsitp together. we watched first three eps together but then my gf watched it with her sister..? they started bonding over it too, it was their topic of convo as if it wasnt me n my gfs thing earlier. i was so taken aback by that incident. Also, her sister is married so whenever she came over to her maiden house my gf would cut the call on me (if we were on call)and stop doing anything shes doing w me and also stop texting me and become dry. This used to happen really often. Then i wanted to watch superman with my gf and then my gf was like my sisters like lets go to watch a movie ejther superman or some other movie i dont remember which one. Out of bitterness, i was just like yeah u can go to watch superman its fine, when clearly this is an unspoken rule that u shouldn’t out of comittment with others. This is when i started developing animosity towards her sister.
I started hating on her to my gf, shed comfort me, but then id have the same feeling later. Every single little thing my gf said, or like any shift in her tone, delay in replies made me think that her sister is over and i wont get my time now. even till today, all i think about is her sister and how shes such a threat to me. If i ever was to make a pros and cons list of my gf the biggest one would be that she has a sister.
Its such a dealbreaker for me, because of her sister i suffer mentally every single day and i have to control myself from getting violent. I start splitting everytime i remember a glimpse of what happened and this animosity is so much that even if i see her sisters profile icon on the story line thing on insta, i start splitting then too, because why do u exist.
Her sister went through my gfs phone and saw all the bad things i said about her which was the worst time of our relationship in my pov and im remorseful for expressing hate to such a level. My gfs sister started crying n shit when she saw in which she completely gained a bonus point in my gfs eyes, so after that i felt that they got super close because my gf wanted to make it up to her sister for being such a bad person or what not.
What makes me even more mad that her sister is not interactive with me at all on socials because we never meet, because of my strict parents. She refuses to like my stories, respond to them, wish holiday (for eg merry Christmas) so i’ve decided to completely stop interacting with her because shes so comfortable in not interacting with me knowing that my gf is so close to me and she has expressed that loudly.
My fears are that what if shes secretly attracted to her sister, or wants someone like her sister. Or like her sister knows the effect she has on my gf like omg shes so obedient towards me she will always choose me (her sister)over me (myself).
i get so violent, i have done sh for my gfs attention so she leaves her sister behind but even that stopped working. I am violent when i start splitting so i start hitting things and get aggressive with surrounding things.
Once, i also asked my gf, that if we got married would u go no contact, or interact with ur sister less if she ever harmed me intentionally (mentally or physically ) she was like she would never do that, and if she did id talk to her… which was so weird like its such an understandable response and something a rational person would do but how can u think shes an amazing person.
I love my gf and she reassures and helps a lot but that help is not lasting.
has anyone else felt this way about someone they shouldnt feel this way about?
