PDR or body shop?

PDR or body shop?

Someone backed into my wife's car and we settled up in cash without having to go through insurance. The quote we got from a body shop to repair/paint the area was just under $2300.00. Since her car is fairly rough cosmetically, i wanted to see if it would be cheaper to find a PDR place and have them push the dent out (dont really care about some scuffs in the paint) instead of spending the whole pay out on the body shop. Thank you.

Need help with primer!

Applied zinzer mold killing primer to fresh drywall and now it is peeling. I brushed vacummed(multiple times) and wiped all the walls with a tack cloth before painting. What started as a small 6 inch spot has now turned into the huge spot in the attached picture. There was previously mold in the room which I removed as much as I could. The sheet rock is over old lath and plaster walls and I was worried about future mold growth since I have tenants moving in at the end of the month. I should have done better research in hindsight but I later found out that zinzer mold killing primer isnt good for fresh drywall. It seems to be stuck on nicely everywhere else but this one spot. I could honestly keep peeling it back but since the primer hasn't fully cured I quit while I was ahead. The slightly wet spot is the original area where the paint peeled and i put some mud on it before realizing how much more would peel off. Any advice on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Auto shipping company recommendations

Pcsing from Ft. Drum in about 5 weeks and need to ship a project truck. Wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for good companies to do to this before I start randomly getting quotes from different places. Thanks.

Prepping wall for wall paper

Putting 1/2 in sheet rock over lath and plaster walls in a 7x7 room. I will be putting a heavy textured wall paper over the sheet rock but I know prep work and priming must be done before the wallper goes up. I want to see what the minimum amount of prep work is that I need to do. Im thinking mud/tape flats and inside corners and screws. What i want to avoid is a lot of sanding due to the mess. Since everything is getting covered in wall paper, can I just embed the tape, scrape really well and be done or will i need to sand and then apply another layer which will have to be sanded as well. Thank you.

Looking for suggestions on the best way to cut MDF counter tops. I have a 4’ piece that needs to get cut in half so each piece can sit on a small cabinet on either side of my stove. I am thinking the best way is my jig saw with a laminate carbide blade attached. Also, wondering if I need to put the end cap pieces on the cut side so that the bare wood is protected. I will have a set of guards that fit and protect between the stove and counter tops, but I wanted to see if I should also get end cap pieces for added protection.

Looking for suggestions on the best way to cut 4x8’ beadboard panels. I have a table saw and circular saw both with a fine tooth blade, as well as a jigsaw with a finetooth laminate carbide blade. The cuts I need are for pieces that will form corners as well as the bottom foot of space on my walls. I am leaning more towards using a circular saw and a very straight 2x4 clamped on each end to use as a track guide. Since even with a second person hold it, I feel like the beadboard is too flimsy for the table saw.
