Big gash on squirrel

Saw this guy today, gash looks open but no dripping blood or anything. No other problems except that, came up to me like normal without stumbling so no brain problems. There was also another squirrel with a tiny blood spot on his tail so wondering if 2 squirrels got into it. Lmk what I should do!

Does my lil buddy have more than just a couple scabs? If so what is it??

Pretty healthy squirrel otherwise, no erratic behavior or mange symptoms
