Kagbhusandi ~the sage crow who witnessed Ramayan 12 times

Originally born as a human, he was cursed by Lord Shiva to live a thousand lower lives for disrespecting his guru. Later, in a Brahmin birth, he argued with Sage Lomasha about abstract philosophy and was cursed to turn into a crow.

Instead of fighting the curse, he accepted the crow form with deep devotion to Lord Rama. Pleased, the Ram blessed him to become a Chiranjivi (immortal being) and granted him the power of cosmic time travel.

He is said to have witnessed the events of the Ramayana 12 times and the Mahabharata 16 times.

He is famous for narrating the story of the Ramayana to Garuda (the king of birds and Lord Vishnu's vehicle).
