I love my Beosound A5s but the connection issues are a nightmare. Is it the same with Sonos?

I just LOVE my Beosound A5s. I have a pair in the living room and the music is delightful. However, I really can’t get over how with both AirPlay and Spotify connect connection is often unstable.

What happens: with Spotify connect, connection is lost mid song or when I click on it, it does not start, even tho it hows playing on Spotify. I sometimes switch between songs and restart it multiple times for it to be working. More recently, when I press the button for the radio - one of my absolute favorite features as I listen to it a lot -, often the radio does not start. It only works if I put it form the app, and even then sometimes the connection seems not to work as it used to. Finally, I tried using airplay, as it appeared to be more reliable, but I have similar issues often occurring.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, but it’s so frustrating because it does not make it reliable.

I understand it’s a network issue, but I have done everything in my power. I am not sure what to do anymore. I also read that connectivity is one of the challenges of B&O, and that other users also experienced it.

It’s the only B&O products I have. What’s frustrating is that I have zero issues with playing music via my Alexa products. That’s convenient because I just play it with Spotify connect and I have multiple around the house but clearly I would love to have my actual sound system working. This makes me heavily doubt getting more b&o products in the future.

Did anyone have similar issues and permanently solved them? If you had similar issues and tried other sound systems like Sonos, did you have a similar issue?

Hopefully I will get some more perspective!

About to return my midnight MacBook M4 15 inch to get another color for 130 euros more. Am I crazy?

I got a midnight MacBook M4 15 inch for 929 euros. It was a demo so it was cheaper. I was not a fan of the color because I always had silver MacBooks, however I thought it was not such a big deal and told myself to get over it.

Now that I have it, I feel it would get visibly more dirty on the dark color because 1 my fingers are always fatty 2 I don’t know how but there are always crumbs on my laptop.
Somehow it feels it is a bit less noticeable on a lighter color. I thought of getting a skin from dbrand but then with a full skin + shipping I am still paying quite some money.

I am considering returning it and get a color I like better (suggestions?). An open box one is 1 for the same laptop but in a different color is 1070, which is 130 euros only to change color.

Am I overthinking it? Is it worth it? Any color you think is most appropriate for my messiness?

Working full-time and starting a full-time Master’s - how did you do it it?

I currently work full-time and want to go back to uni to pursue a Master’s, both for personal interest and career perspectives. I am EU in my early 30s. I’m looking for advice on how to adjust my work schedule to make it work, especially from people who’ve done it in a non-student/hospitality job alongside their studies.

My programme options
I’m still fairly open on the programme. I’ve applied to Public Administration at Erasmus (starting 2026) and am also considering Communication at UvA and various humanities programmes at UU, UvA, and Leiden (2027). Part-time Master’s in English are very limited in my fields of interest.

I hear many programs strongly advise against having a job, but I am an adult in my 30s, I have bills to pay. Besides, I’ve always combined studying, extra curriculars, and working, so I am aware how to balance out activities. I am willing to take two years instead of one, I understand it is quite common for students to extend their studies.

My current plan
I have a permanent contract and plan to negotiate reducing to 3.5 days of work spread across 3 days, keeping two full days free for classes and self-study, plus evenings and weekends. I also have 50+ holiday days available (plus quite some form the previous year) that I can use to take off full weeks or work only a day or two when needed.

For those who’ve been in a similar situation:
- How did you structure your week?
- if you did not do it yourself, what have you seen from people doing it?
- Any programmes that are particularly flexible with scheduling/have lectures that can be rewatched online as well?

I am not sure if my job would be per se in favor, however I understood they can’t stop me or control what I do in my free time, as long as I work my hours and deliver. Anyone experienced this?

Any advice welcome!

▲ 1 r/IELTS

Hi! I am 27 and I need to take the IELTS in order to apply for a Master’s.

Three years ago I took the exam and I scored
Listening 8.5
Reading 8.5
Writing 6.0
Speaking 8.0
Overall 8.0

As I am now applying for a master’s degree, I need to update my score. I will need a 6.5 in all sections and I haven’t really exercised in ages. I am concerned my English is not as good academically as it used to be.

I have dyslexia, however I am afraid it will not be possible to get an adjustment as I signed up too close to the test and my documentation is in a different language.

Am I freaking out too much? Last time I prepared the day before the exam and this was the result. Was I just lucky? Is it worth to prep for all sections equally or should I just focus on the writing and keep one day for the other sections? Any advice is welcome!!

A friend got me harry styles tickets early this year but I am afraid I won’t be able to go. If she transfers them to me but I am unable to go, how can I resell them? I recall that you can only transfer tickets once. Any experience?

Some time ago I visited a store and I had such a great chat with the owner he gave me this. It smells divine and looks so pretty! I was looking online and it seems to be a collector item. Also, great candle brand!
