I started making this YingYing cosplay since February, and finally finished before Otakon, I understand this Chinese mmorpg “Where Winds Meet” is not very popular in the US, at least 4 people recognized where this is from already enough to makes me happy 🥹

Their ErHa cosplay is gorgeous🥹😭 I need to follow them on IG aaaahhhhh

And as expected, only 3 people recognized which game my character from at the con, and 2 of them can’t recall the name of the character 🥹 but it’s ok, my YingYing got to shine ✨

Although I still have to draw one for LanZhan and WuXian

Using the book as reference, picking my own fabrics (although the lining material is not as soft as expected since I bought them online) it’s not perfect, but it’s presentable for cosplay walking around at convention, I hope ppl can recognize the character

I developed my own cat ear hat sewing pattern, did search for references on XiaoHongShu,

The YuanLingPao (outer jacket/Round collar robe) pattern referencing the book (see p5 p6)

I’m gonna wear it to my local anime convention but I bet not many gonna recognize YingYing or the game 😭

It’s pencil sketch, watercolor, line everything on paper, then scanned and photoshop retouched.

It takes so long bcs I changed their pose several times… and all the lines!!! I tried to do in the similar art style as the manga Hope you enjoy!

I spent so long looking up their outfit references but then decided YanWuShi in his TV DongHua outfit, and ShenQiao in Novel outfit, idk if it’s still recognizable if I sell this print at con artist alley…even tho it’s not such big fandom so far

I wanted to try drawing some of my ships using this pose for so long. Every time I saw ShenQiao spit blood I want YanWuShi to hold him tight giving him a princess hug/carry

Because they had an open ending in the novel/audio drama, and TangLan’s winged xenogenic form gonna look so pretty ahhhh I can’t help!!!
