Why post a question like this on this kind of Sub?

I saw this post, and often see many like it in a sub where it is explicitly against their rules to express Anti-AI sentiments, but I see many Pros making posts such as this, which pretend to be seeking some understanding/conversation of the opposition, but doing so in a space where the opposition is not allowed. What is the point of this? Is it just karma farming/seeking expressed validation from a group of people they KNOW are going to agree with them as it's the only opinion allowed?

Question about what is sufficient evidence that a person was operating a vehicle.

If someone with, say a suspended drivers license, was driving a vehicle registered to them, and broke down on the side of the road, and they were waiting for a tow truck and a cop showed up, and realized their license was suspended, but they claimed something like “oh, my girlfriend was actually driving, but she had somewhere to be, so got a ride from someone else while I waited with the car,” would this be an acceptable explanation, or would the fact that they are alone with the car and the registered owner of the vehicle be sufficient evidence to charge them with driving under a suspended license?

09 Honda Accord Alternator question.

I recently replaced the battery in my 09 Honda Accord, and went to Autozone to get my alternator checked too.

The guy said it was reading low voltage (12.24 Volts) and recommended a replacement. During the test I had AC, radio, and headlights completely off; When I did some additional research I read that it is quite normal for for this model to run around that level under a light or no load because of the electronic load detector that reduces the draw on the alternator when under a light low.

I read other sources that claimed that if your alternator isn’t reading 13+ in all scenarios, it definitely needs to be replaced.

The most natural thing, I suppose, would be to go get another test with my accessories engaged, but I just wanted to get some insight from folks who know about this kind of stuff how likely it is that I have an alternator problem.

Part of the reason I’ve had my doubts is because when the battery first died on me, it was because I left headlights on for a few days while my car was in the garage. It would just seem like a wild coincidence for my alternator to happen to go out on the same exact day my battery died for an unrelated reasons.

Really slept on Brigantine until I started playing with large groups.

I always felt like there was no real reason to ever make brigantine armor compared to every other option. playing solo or small teams, I focus metals before I really develop a leather industry, and so don't have that much reason to skimp on metal when making armor, but since playing on a server with a large group and being our main smith, it really feels like the best armor set for mass production.

If you are ever trying to figure out how to armor 20+ people for battle with little time to spare, definitely consider it. (It also looks cool af)

honestly I love how VS handles armor types with pros/cons instead of a simple linear progression; nice to see that even the brigantine, that is so widely considered useless, has its moments.

"The Defender" When you "defend" your empire so hard that it consumes half the universe.

Achaemenes went through damn near every Epithet he could. "The Conqueror," "The Horseman," "The Mighty," "The Angry," "The Wrathful," "The Attacker," "The Cunning," "The Killer" Ended his career as "The Defender" after nearly single-handedly conquering half the map.

Pros, what do you consider to be the "Appropriate" way to be Anti?

I feel like a lot of the reason some Antis feel cornered and forced into taking more radical/extreme stances (in some cases even violent stances) is because they are not afforded many other outlets to resist, or even just avoid, AI, while it is being pushed from seemingly every direction, and it feels unavoidable.

Pros are against labeling, but a lack of labels takes away Antis ability to choose what they are supporting with their money as a consumer. Pros complain whenever Antis try to protect a space or community of their own, without AI content. Pros also have the majority of the economic and political power and are able to generally run roughshod over Antis when it comes to the allocation of public resources.

It is wrong to say "bomb a data center" but it seems like there are few acceptable routes of resistance within the system; I can see why some Antis feel the need to act outside of the system when they are being systematically shutout of the system, and Pros attack the handful of lawful things that Antis can do to resist/avoid AI.

So I would like to know from Pros, what are the forms of resistance that you find acceptable?

Any experience with Respondus Lockdown Browser?

Im a university student, and some of my classes are online. I have to use an application called Respondus Lockdown Browser for remotely proctored exams and stuff, but I have been having to use my old windows laptop because something about Linux (Debian specifically) seems to trigger the software’s virtual machine detection, and I am unable to use it.

Anyone else using Respondus, and have any tips on getting it to work in Linux? Thanks.
