How much should a single stealth-specialized PC be able to handle with their stealthing skills?

I have a player who is a Ranger with master in Stealth and they often want to run into dungeons and do some scouting, kill a few weak guards or evil-civilian-level enemies on his own, steal loot from chests, unlock all the locked doors and then run out and report his findings to the team. He always uses level 2 invisibility on top of that.

He tends to get really upset when I say the guards hear him unlocking doors, or he gets upset when guards begin to walk/feel suspicion towards his assassinations of weak NPCs since bows are silent weapons.

How much should an invisible stealth-master-level PC be able to feasibly scout out on their own? What are the expectations that are normal for PF2E?

Cool custom ancestry combos?

What are some flavorful or mechanically interesting custom ancestry combos that could be done?

I was thinking of making a Human+Jotunborn to recreate 5e’s Goliath.

Or a Gnome+Leshy to make a “Garden” Gnome

Strongest and weakest ikons?

What are some of the stand out choices for exemplars and which are so niche you’d probably almost never see anyone pick them? And for fun which ones have the coolest flavor?

Unique backstory ideas for an Exemplar?

Anyone have any backstory ideas for an exemplar that isn't just a person with divine holy powers? I just got off playing a Paladin and am looking for ideas to avoid that similar god-fascinated holy character.

How good is Shape Stone at creating a barrier?

Are there any statistics on how strong the stone is that you make with shape stone?

A player wants to us it to plug up hallways so enemies can’t pursue them, or use it as a barricade while they use the teleport spell to flee.

Do you just use the material hardness rules for this?

What would the best class or archetype that could recreate the feeling of a “special move” or “level 1 super” in a fighting game. Something simple like your sword ignites into flames and then you slash at the enemy? Magus is the obvious answer but is there anything else?

They seem like powerful enemies according to their statblock, and they seem to have a big role in the early era of Golarion, but I feel like I've never seen them. Usually the final BBEG or the late game enemies are powerful spellcasters or dragons or eldritch creatures.

After seeing the Nat Dex ruling and also a lot of users on this sub saying and “I wonder if Megas will be in Wind and Waves?” I’m starting to think a lot of people haven’t kept up with the news about how Competitive PvP will be handled in the future.

The game’s producer (Masaaki Hoshino) said the game is supposed to be running “basically forever”

> “We’re planning to keep Pokemon Champions going far into the future- basically forever, as long as the Pokemon series is continuing,” Hoshino explains. “And who knows? Far in the future, we’ll have 2,000, 3,000, maybe 10,000 Pokemon.” source

And also the entire point of the game is to:

  1. Alleviate the cost of needing to devote resources towards PvP in every title
  2. Make sure every gimmick can exist forever in one game
  3. Allows the main series to experiment with new battle systems, ala Legends ZA, without ruining the classic PvP mode we all know and love.

All the commenters saying things like “I wonder if Megas will be cut in Wind and Waves” and etc are making it feel like no one realizes that this is the defacto mode for classic PvP forever. I know we are all used to the whole “wait til next gen and see what the new gimmick is and which gimmick gets cut” for like 25+ years but those days are over. It’s just pretty clear they want a nice evergreen game that can handle all 1000+ pokemon and every gimmick. There’s no reason to release champions and then abandon it next year when W and W comes out, or split the PvP community between two active games, one which lasts forever and one that will be sunset after another gen comes out.

I just don’t want to see the community wait for Wind and Waves, be shocked that it’s a real time battle system or something, and be confused about where all the usual features are. I really don’t everyone to be sad about a huge change like that.
