I keep hearing that travelers gmts are more complex than office gmts in terms of the setting mechanism however i cant find any explanation for what the actual difference is in the mechanism other than which hand the mechanism is attached to. Would anyone be able to explain the internal differences between the two?

Are there any good homages to the original gmt master under the san martin / baltany price point?

I have been looking at both these watches for some time, i prefer the visuals of the s463 but am wondering if the 4hz movement in the s436 would be a benefit of that watch? Does anyone have recommendations on this issue

Dont get me wrong i love the a lot of the designs of the q watches but compared to the deepwaters at the same price point and the other quartz watches the brand (most of which with mineral crystals i should add) offers they just seem high.

So today seiko produces both the v series and the spring drive movements as the two movement families which would be considered meca quartz. But prior to this they produced a family of movements which had the same battery life as a regular quartz (unlike the vh movements) and had a perfectly sweeping seconds hand without the complexity of the spring drive movements. Why were these movements (5s21) discontinued in favor of the seemingly inferior vh movements? Was it to help spring drive seem more novel?

I recently was looking at ll bean chinos and was interested in the natural fit pants but i wear a 28w are there any similar fit pants in 28 or 30 in the sub 75$ range? Full cotton would also be a preferable option:

The presence of a date magnifier ruins the look of most watches that they are put on, especially dive watches. A date window alone is fine but I dont think ive seen a single watch where the magnifier improves anything about the watches look.
