Testers needed for a variety of crafts

I'm looking for testers across a variety of crafts that can be done from a grid chart. Cross stitch, fuse beads, diamond painting, needlepoint, knit, crochet, and anything else I've missed.

I produce a unique sort of cross stitch, etc patterns aimed at crafters who want more ways to customise a complex design. Hand-drawn colouring book patterns give crafters designs they can craft and colour however they like. I have a small collection of charts to pick from, beyond those shown here. Testers can pick the one they'd like to do. I am currently not limiting the number of people who can select the same pattern, as I would prefer to have a variety of crafts and style to showcase. There are also full-colour charts available for people who would prefer those.

The line work in the patterns was drawn using a hard pixel brush, which makes it easier to change colours, and eliminates the typical confetti usually found in these areas on art-based patterns.

If you have any questions, I am here to answer them!

Number of testers needed: 15

Seeing more of my little guys out doing their important bug business

After the lamp catastrophe a few weeks ago, I've been mostly leaving the survivors alone. Mostly, they've been hiding underneath their bark, but they've started coming out again lately. Mainly to devour their bee pollen snacks, but still

[Mod Approved] Pattern testers wanted for highly customisable patterns

Hello! I create highly-customisable patterns for grid-based crafts, and am looking for pattern testers who would like to show off your skills and help me find any issues that I might have overlooked.

My colouring book patterns present hard outlines that can be filled in however you like. I have a number of them available on my Etsy page below. Anything in the full colour section, including those exclusive to pattern packs are available in colouring book style.

This is a non-monetary exchange. You will not be required to purchase the pattern you pick, nor am I able to monetarily compensate you. You will not be required to post WIP pics publicly, though your finished piece may be used as a listing photo. While I ask that testers only pick one pattern at a time, there is no limit to the amount of patterns you can do. Once you've finished one, you are more than welcome to pick another.

I am happy to answer any questions. If this is something you would be interested in, please send me a DM!

Cryptid

Joe Wilkinson has a thing he calls mousies. It's like a selfie, but as if a mouse took the photo. 11:30pm is not the time to try it out. I look unhinged

Update: complete collapse

Update to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/isopods/s/qK2vwQdhAG

It was one of the lights.

I'd taken all the plants and hides out last night, but hadn't done much else because I was too overwhelmed to do anything else after picking put survivors for an hour. I'd ordered some new substrate and gravel on overnight delivery, and once that got here I finally got around to it.

The tank has (had) two different lights; grow lights for the plants, and a white LED light for my feeble human eyes. The white one was low down in the tank, behind the plants so I could see what my bugs were up to. I'd left it on overnight, because every now and then I got up to check my pit trap. Once my substrate got here, I finally went in to take it out, and that thing was hot. When I checked the plants, they had also been burned. That spider plant could fight god and would come out stronger out of spite.

I don't know what or why or how, but it doesn't matter. The light has been thrown away regardless. But since I'd already torn everything up anyway, I redid the whole thing just because I didn't want a bunch of dirt and gravel in the way for the next year.

But, for one, that explains why my giant canyons were largely unfazed by the apocalypse, while the cows had nearly all died. And for two, boy am I glad that happened inside my tiny rainforest, and not in literally any other room in my house. Heat being the culprit had not even occurred to me, because they live in a closed system which stays consistently damp, and none of the dead ones were dried out. But it happening so quickly and suddenly makes me wonder if I somehow damaged the light while putting the new plants in, because that's been in there for ages as well with no issues until this weekend.

The pit trap was not successful in catching any survivors, but that was probably because the survivors had either gone deep into the substrate, or were hiding in the plants. When I took them out, I just put them all into an empty pot until I had the energy to deal with them today. A few of the ones that got put in the recovery/spare tank didn't survive the night, but most of them did. I also found two worms?? I thought those guys all died ages ago. It's even weirder because I hadn't seen any in March when I did a planned substrate swap. But cool. Maybe they'll make more worms for me. There was also a tiny snail, and I have no idea where he came from, but he's back in there as well.

There are still some people I need to respond to, but thank you to everyone for your offers and suggestions. I'm glad it wasn't poison though. Just something weird.

Photos are of the new scape. I've also had questions about making pit traps before. Even if it wasn't helpful this time, it's great for substrate changes that aren't done under panic situations. I can't work out how to add captions on mobile, but basically dig hole, put small Tupperware in hole, put food in Tupperware, and cover with a hide (optional). Normally I let it sit for a week or so, but since the circumstances were weird, I just wanted to get everything put back together and move on.

Complete collapse D:

I'm not asking for help; just being sad and angry. I'm not including a photo of the tank itself because it's already been torn apart

My bugs have lived in a vivarium for a few years. The colony has been thriving in there, and then the apocalypse happened over the weekend. These are the survivors I've been able to rescue.

On Friday I went to the same place I get all my plants. It specialises in bioactive environments, so they don't use pesticides. I even had a long conversation with the lady about the tank I was putting the plants in. It's basically where I go to get exciting new foods for these little monsters, because anything I put in there that isn't a spider plant gets destroyed within a month. I have accepted this, and decided to try some pothos this time just to see if they survive.

I came home and a few hours later put the new plants into the tank. Saturday, I noticed a few dead pods on the surface, and assumed I'd stressed them out too much when I put the plants in. Sad, but ultimately unavoidable. By that evening, there were a lot more dead. I picked about in there, and the substrate felt more wet than usual. Then I remembered the lady at the shop had said that they'd just watered everything that day. Maybe that was enough to tip the balance for my little guys?

Sunday, it was carnage. Dead everywhere. None of the plants look nibbled on, but that shouldn't have mattered anyway.

But they also hadn't eaten anything. Not their mushrooms or isopod treats that make them go into beast mode. And the survivors were all huddled on top of the rocks and sticks and whatever else they were able to climb on. Maybe airflow? I adjusted the lid last night, and woke up today to an even bigger disaster. I've picked out everyone I could find and stuck them in a tupperware for now.

What was odd was the amount who seemed to want to run onto my hand, instead of away from it. Some of the really poorly ones even perked up within minutes of being put in there. And now they're happily eating their treats.

I can only assume it's something in the substrate. My leading guess is they got fed something they shouldn't have, which just stayed in one place until I put the plants in on Friday. Dunno what that could have been, because I'm not the only one who feeds them.

What's especially striking is that it seems to have completely wiped out my dairy cows. I've saved four of them. My giant canyons have weathered the storm better, but this is such a small amount of bugs for the age of the colony. There were easily hundreds, if not 1000+ in there last week. My springtails are going to have to be completely repopulated, because they are impossible to pick out.

I'm pulling everything and redoing the substrate tomorrow as soon as it arrives. It's all got to go. And now I'm worried the plants will have been shocked to death and be $40 immediately down the drain

I'll keep picking more out as I find them, but either way I'm going to need to basically start all over. My cows are a lost cause, but at least I've been able to save enough of my giant canyons to keep their various colours going :/

These things are so gross

I asked for something to help with pain post-surgery. I was brought these. They taste like the worst bong water, but knock me out cold. A+ gets the job done

I was warned about the taste, and still got blindsided by it

u/LewisWhatsHisName — 2 months ago

Early this year, I was extremely anxious about a looming major surgery. I just want to come back to thank everyone who responded to my post with reassurances. After a few setbacks and a reschedule, the surgery has been done and I am about a week post-op. I am back home recovering well, and hoping my next trip into town on Monday will get my drains out.
