Anyone know the guidelines for these lines? Are they supposed to pull so many from this line each train?

I just watched the line for Apollos not move for 20-25 minutes. Many trains went on their way with riders from the regular line, but they were ignoring the QQU. People were getting angry. Similar situation happened at Pantheon.

Anyone else fed up with etsy's tracking?

When I first started out, I didn't send sticker orders with tracking. Not only did that disqualify me for star seller status, it felt like it opened the door for customers to possibly lie and say they didn't get their order. So I started using Etsy's labels. Now, I have star seller status (woohoo), but I'm pretty regularly hearing from customers, saying they haven't received their order even though it shows as delivered/out for delivery. I have a canned answer for that, and it's been well received.

Today I got one: Etsy's tracking shows it was out for delivery on August 8. Customer says it hasn't arrived. That seems a bit long for me to say "give it a few days" right?

Thoughts on going back to sending without tracking? I ship in invite envelopes, so just a standard stamp. I will lose star seller status, but I haven't seen that do much for me anyway. Pros / cons?

To refund or not?

Ever have one of those days where you just don't want to be nice? In general I don't like dealing with people, so helping my daughter with her sticker store has definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me learn to deal with all sorts of people. Orders where there have been problems, I've somehow managed to resolve in a way that resulted in a glowing review.

Fast forward to today... a customer is requesting a refund because (according to them) a 2" sticker they bought isn't 2" (they claim it's the size of a postage stamp). Of course they didn't send a pic with the sticker against a ruler, that would make too much sense, and I don't make stickers smaller than 2".

Ramifications if I send them a return label and say I'll refund it as soon as I get the sticker back? Do I ask them to send me a pic of the sticker against a ruler? I realize by having them send the sticker back, I lose more money than the cost of the original order, but I'm feeling b*tchy and don't want them to keep something they clearly don't want to pay for. Will I get a bad review for asking them to send it back? Probably. Will they still give me a bad review if I don't? Probably. Am I just in a cranky mood? Most definitely.

Trying to help my daughter

I am on Mounjaro for T2D, and it got my daughter thinking about GLP1 for weight loss for her. Would love to hear from others about their thoughts on if maybe this is the correct path for her or not?

She’s about to turn 30 and if I had to guess, I’d say she weighs about 155 (5’4”). She eats healthier than ANYONE I know and works out hard 6 days a week. I know there’s got to be something causing this weight gain. Originally, I think the weight started coming when she was on Lexapro. She’s currently on Zoloft and it’s still a problem.

It’s made her very unhappy with taking photos, and I think 20-25 pounds would make a world of difference. If she were to go on Wegovy, once she got to this weight, is she on Wegovy for good, just at a maintenance dose?

Weird one for ya

I was going through daily stats and ran across a weird situation so I’m curious if anyone has seen this before?

Sales are slow, so it was easy to spot this. 2 individual sticker sales yesterday and according to the “orders” section one was for the top selling sticker and the other for a similar but not quite as popular sticker.

Here’s the kicker. When I go into the ads section to see how yesterday was, it also shows 2 sales, that top seller and NOT the other one, instead it shows a new sticker that hasn’t had any sales yet.

Email re processing order?

Haven’t seen this before, but now I’ve seen 2 in the last couple days. The email says “We wanted to let you know that you have a pending sale of 1 item. We're still processing your order and will follow up with a confirmation email as soon as this is complete. Most orders process within 72 hours, although they may occasionally take longer. Please do not ship this order until it has finished processing.”

The other day when this happened, Etsy cancelled the order. Any idea what triggers this? Not shipping until it finishes processing, if it takes 2-3 days, puts me outside my ship window. Does that clock not start until it’s finished processing?

Brand new

Just started Sunday and I'm more confused than ever. No matter how much I read, I can wrap my head around how this is going to help me? Talk of less hunger, quieting food noise, etc - I don't think there's been a day in my life where I ate because I was HUNGRY... I just enjoy food.

One doc said it "reprograms your brain"... can anyone elaborate?

Being only 4 days in, not expecting much yet, but feel like maybe I'm feeling side effects, but can't even explain them. I just feel "off", with a little dizziness added in. I read one post where it said stay ahead of constipation, so will keep that in mind. Fortunately water isn't a problem for me as I typically drink 1-2 gallons a day.

Outsourcing

Okay, we've decided to outsource our most popular sticker so that we can free up time AND produce a truly waterproof sticker.

Suggestions on best options, ideally where I could get a sample first to confirm the quality?

label changed?

Anyone else have this happen since YESTERDAY? I mail stickers in 5.75"x4.25" invite envelopes with a piece of cardstock (stiff, but flexible). Until today, no problems, $0.74 per envelope. All of a sudden there's a $0.49 non-machinable letter fee.

I looked up the criteria for non-machinable: square/oddly shaped, rigid or stiff (inflexible material), unevenly thick, odd closures, vertical orientation. Could be more, not sure. My envelopes don't meet any of these criteria.

Envelope had been listed as 5.75x4.5, so I reduced it to 5.75x4.25 (which is correct) and the non-machinable fee went away. However, I noticed that the barcode thing at the top of the label disappeared, the shop name is listed twice in the return address, and below the scan-able code it says "LFP" which I believe means "large flat piece". HOW???

algorithm question

My daughter has 33 listings, with hundreds of visits a day. We decided to move MOST of her listings to paid shipping, with the exception of the most popular one. Scared to make that final move. All of a sudden she dropped to almost no visits per day.

Could this change have messed with the search ranking?

Wish we could have more control over discounts. I would love to keep free shipping for customers who order multiple items (stickers), but the single sticker orders were killing her. Would it make sense to just slightly raise the prices and go back to free shipping, or is that unethical?

You all helped me tremendously with my shipping - I've switched over to letter envelopes and Etsy labels and it's made life so much easier. So, now I have a couple more questions.

I have shipping time set to 1-2 days, almost always get the order out the same day. We're going out of town tomorrow until Saturday. Will putting the shop on vacation mode screw up the algorithm? I'm so hesitant to make changes because the shop is on a roll. To give you an idea, 29 orders already this month. So a thought I had was to switch the shipping time to 1-3 days. If I did that, would any orders be considered on time if I ship them Saturday when I return? Would switching to 1-3 days screw up the momentum we've gotten?

Next question, we are currently offering free shipping, and would like to change it to free shipping over $10. How difficult is it to make that change? Is it possible to make the change available for $10 purchased over multiple listings (does that make sense?)

TIA
