Hi. I’m in British Columbia. Currently have an iPhone 11 but need to upgrade. On a month to month plan. Don’t need the latest and greatest new iPhone but mine is about to die.

I went to the Mobile Store today and they said the best deal they had for a current Roger’s customer was paying $5 a month for an iPhone Air, where you return it after the 2 years, and then $50 for a plan (I don’t remember the exact details but it was over 100gbs of data). They would also give me 100,000 PC points for trading in my iPhone.

Is this a good deal? I don’t mind waiting for Black Friday, and I’m not loyal to Roger’s, but they said new Roger’s customer plans we’re currently more like $80 and this was the best they had right now.

I don’t need 100gb of data but she looked it up and said if you choose less data, they up the price of the phone - they get you either way.

Anyway, just wondering if I should wait and can expect anything better or if this is worthwhile? Thanks.

I’m updating my emergency plan and see I’m supposed to have an agreed upon space that my family can meet at if we are not together when said emergency takes place.

First choice is of course all meet at home. If that’s not available…

Should my second choice be somewhere like my office, or somewhere official like a community centre / library in Nanaimo? Obviously it depends on the emergency. We don’t have any additional family members who we could head to.

I was listening to Wolf FM about a week ago and the afternoon DJ (Roach) started talking about a local sandwich shop where he had ordered a ham sandwich that turned out to be fully plant based and he had no idea that it was plant based but that it was a great sandwich. Does anyone know what sandwich shop he was talking about?

I know Arrowsmith brewery has been showing them but they don’t usually open that early - I will be giving them a call. Ideally I don’t want to drive back to Nanaimo (where we live).

Any suggestions?

I’d like to weigh my travel trailer, and my truck for the payload. I’m not in the states where there are plenty of large CAT scales. First time trying to weigh them.

My local dump has a large scale that I can use for free, however I can’t unhook there and weigh the trailer and the truck separately as they have no space for my trailer.

I’m not sure I am 100% clear on the actual weights that I need. I have a weight distribution hitch which provides me the tongue weight.

As far as I understand, I want to know my payload on the truck and the weight of the the trailer fully loaded. So to get those I need to weigh the trailer fully loaded on its own and then the truck fully loaded on its own? How do I go about doing this if I can’t unhook?

I’m based in Canada, and honestly never ate grilled cheese growing up, just wasn’t something my mom cooked.

I’ve tried to make my 6 year old grilled cheese a few times but she never seems to like it and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I don’t have a sandwich press so I’ve been making them on the stove.

What is your #1 tip to making the perfect grilled cheese sandwich? What cheese are we all using. We recently tried a lot of different cheeses for our home made pizza and ended up with the new formula Daiya mozzarella shreds as the best one for melting. Is that the best one for this as well?
