I've bought plenty of things that seemed like a good idea at the time and ended up barely using them. But every now and then, you get something that becomes part of your routine so quickly that you wonder how you managed without it.

For me, it would probably be a decent insulated water bottle. It sounds pretty boring, but having cold water with me throughout the day is one of those small things I genuinely appreciate now.

What have you bought that turned out to be genuinely useful in your day-to-day life?

Toen ik jonger was, vond ik sommige dingen veel belangrijker dan nu. Wat anderen van me vonden, overal bij willen zijn, met de laatste trends meegaan of het gevoel hebben dat ik mezelf steeds moest bewijzen.

Ik ben benieuwd of anderen dat ook herkennen. Volgens mij zijn er best wat dingen waar je je met de jaren vanzelf minder druk om gaat maken.

Waar ben jij je naarmate je ouder werd minder druk om gaan maken? En wanneer besefte je dat het eigenlijk helemaal niet zo belangrijk was als je altijd dacht?

Is there anywhere that feels completely different compared with when you first knew it? Could be because of new buildings, businesses, or just the general atmosphere.

Rotterdam has something happening in almost every season, from food festivals and cultural events to sports and local celebrations.

Which annual event do you make a point of attending whenever you can, and what keeps you coming back?

Every city has places that don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve.

It could be a museum, park, neighbourhood, café, independent shop, or somewhere else you think more people should discover.
