Your favorite non-Tryptych album?

Seems everyone's favorite album is off the Triptych, which well makes sense haha, they're legendary. Curious what everyone's picks beyond that are. For me it'd be Mechanical Animals but not counting that, it's hard to choose but probably Golden Age of Grotesque, Assassination pt 1, and/or Pale Emporer. What about yall?

What are 'Legacy Saves'? Can I update them?

Came back to this game after a while of not playing. I've noticed that my old saves are marked as Legacy Saves. I also seem to lack the ability to change the difficulty of them, and I've yet to see one of the zombie hordes that people here keep mentioning. Couple questions:

  1. What are the differences between a legacy save and a normal save? I have no idea what this game's versioning scheme is but the old save is from Oct 30, 2025. How much new gameplay am I missing out on by not starting a new world?

  2. Is there any way to update it to a non-legacy save? I don't want to lose all my progress, I've spent this whole week playing on this save before I figured out I kinda should've started a new one. I don't mind if the world resets but I want to at least keep my items on my character as well as my XP/perks.

  3. If not, is there a way to cheat in items and XP to new characters on a new save? And vehicles ideally?

My mom is becoming increasingly dependent on AI, using it in her work, using it in her personal life. She absolutely doesn't see the problem with it, idk what to do

Tldr title lol. She's been using chatgpt in a professional setting for years but she's recently been outsourcing her brain to it more and more. Both for writing documents that she sends to clients, and for processing information for her own understanding.

She's a life coach and specializes in working with neurodivergent people. Our whole family is neurodivergent and figuring out everything that the hard way raising me, she wants to help other parents and young adults figure things out with less trouble. She loves her job and I'm so happy for her. My parents are mid 50s, me and my brother are mid 20s if it's relevant

I don't pretend to know exactly what the details of her job are but from what it seems, half of is is face to face counseling irl or zoom. The other half is spending hours and hours every day trying to refine extremely complex psychological concepts into an explanation that your average person without a psych background can understand

And I can't overstate how important that is. My therapist is a genius and he's spent years having his work misunderstood, misinterpreted and straight disregarded just because people couldn't understand it

BUT SHE DOES IT ALL WITH CHATGPT

Well not all, but most of it at least. She uses it in all aspects of her work:

- she talks about complex neuroscience topics with it and uses it as a source to learn more info. I tried explaining how it hallucinates and is easily led on into agreeing with you even if you're dead wrong. She seemed very confident that every answer it gives is correct and that if it's incorrect she can prompt it to fix itself. In her defense, it's likely that this analysis is mostly true because she does understand the subjects very well and can probably identify most hallucinations, but I'm worried one could slip past her. She says she just uses it to quote "rephrase things in a way my brain understands" which I don't really get but ig that's kind of the point

- she writes documents with AI and then *sends them to clients,* full of obvious AI tells. It hurts my soul to say that because she is genuinely a very intelligent person and I can't understand why she doesn't get how it devalues her work.

She spends literally weeks perfecting a document, asks me to check it over, and it's full of em dashes and bizarrely formed sentences and the weird "yes and" format that chatgpt loves. I know what her writing looks like, and this is not her writing. It is her *information* that she's spent years compiling and working on, but fed through this machine that distorts all of it

She says she's never been called out for using AI by her clients (well, her clients' parents) and when I say "yeah that's cause they're tactful," she doesn't buy it and thinks it's genuinely going unnoticed

Who knows, maybe it is going unnoticed. I have very very good pattern recognition skills so I'm pretty good at picking up AI in text, at least the clunky clanker output it loves to regurgitate. So maybe I'm noticing it also because I know it's not her writing style

--------

And that's all well and good. After what, two, three years trying to convince her she's degrading her work and making herself look incompetent, I gave up on trying to get her to stop using it in a professional setting. The people in our mutual circles agree it's an issue but apparently I'm the only one with the desire to actually tell her. The clanker seems to be working well enough for her process to make her disinclined to find a different method, and that's her choice I guess

But now she's using it for more than just that. Every time she wants to research something online, it's straight to chatgpt. Make a plan? Chatgpt. My brother had some stupid thing with the DMV. Mom sent him a wildly inaccurate chatgpt blurb. Couple months ago I was struggling with calc 2 and she had me read a very detailed chatgpt plan that "they came up with together" suggesting the very first thing I tried months ago and didn't work. I reacted poorly, I ended up getting very offended. Not proud of it, she was trying to be helpful, but I was already stressed out of my mind and feeling pressure from all sides and that was the last straw for some reason. I think that's why she hasn't tried sending me more AI plans but I know she still uses it everywhere.

----

Idk this is a ramble sorry, halfway a vent. I just don't know what to do. She has just enough tech literacy to dig herself into a very very deep hole of codependent thinking, and has just enough tech *il*literacy to be completely ignorant of the dangers.

Doesn't help that my dad is the actual tech guy of the family (I'm a computer science college student, I know what I'm talking about, but Dad's been working tech for 30 years lol) and he's completely ignoring the problem. He has the conflict resolution skills of a spatula and mostly just aggressively ignores emotional issues. If Dad took the time to try to get her to stop I think she'd listen. I think she thinks I'm being overly alarmist and worrying too much. Which tbf I tend to do lol. But it's getting worse, idk. So I should push on Dad maybe? I've tried before and his response is "it's her work, she can do what she wants with it." Which on the one hand is entirely correct which is why I've mostly given up till now

But on the other hand, the problem is getting worse and I'm worried she's losing the ability to obtain, analyze, and accurately process information from the internet without AI assistance. And that is a really really important skill, *especially* when her entire job is discovering and learning about cutting edge research and then finding a way to apply it to the daily lives of moody apathetic young adults

----------

So, at the end of my wits, I ask reddit for assistance, a platform widely known for its denizens' wisdom, interpersonal skills, and tactful handling of nuance. Tbch I'm kind of expecting the answer to be "she's a grown woman and you can't keep her from making mistakes she's determined to make" but I'm hoping someone could point out ideas that might not have occurred.

All my ideas basically boil down to "if I find the right combination of words in the right order, paired with enough concrete information proving me right, I can get her to change her mind." Which obviously has never worked any time I've ever tried it, with anyone ever lmfao, but it's all my brain can come up with lol. "If I get other people to present a united front maybe that'll help" is my next thought but the likely result of that is her feeling ganged up on and getting defensive which is why I haven't really tried it

If you read all this, thank you and sorry for the ramble lol. Appreciate you taking the time out of your day to read this mess

Does your birthday coincide with a holiday (whether religious, governmental, informal)?

Someone just posted this one but didn't include the "sometimes" option, wanted to see if that changed the results at all

which Bayo game has best graphics for PC?

Title. I have Bayonetta 1 on steam and it's fun but the graphics are washed out and old. I have reshade but theres only so much it can do. I'm told theres a way you can emulate a switch on PC to get access to Bayo 2 and 3, is it worth the hassle?

Trolley problem in REAL LIFE, please read description

Tldr, basic trolley problem except it's real life.

Option 1) do nothing, five people die, you get away scot free but bear at least partial responsibility for those deaths

Option 2) you pull the lever and will likely be held legally liable and go to jail for the death of the one person

Option 3) you put at least thirty (30) seconds of thought into it but can't decide

Option 4) you want to see the results and I don't blame you for not wanting to sit and think it through, but I also don't want you using the "I can't decide" button when you haven't *really* tried to decide

-----

The situation:

You are boredly waiting for the trolley when you realize that it is hurtling out of control and will soon run over and kill five people tied to the track

You notice a lever brightly labelled "switch track," which would redirect the runaway trolley to a new track. There's someone tied to that track, too, but at least it's only one person.

------

The quandary:

You can pull the lever to redirect the trolley and kill the one person instead of the five. If you do so, you are now directly responsible for the death of that one person, not just an innocent passive bystander

------

Response 1:

If you do *not* pull the lever, the five people die, and you get to walk away scot free.. Your only punishment is spending the rest of your life with the knowledge you could have saved those five people. The only being that even knows you were there is your inner demon.

------

Response 2:

If you *do* pull the lever, here's where my hypothetical varies from the standard trolley problems. This is real life, buddy, and you just splattered an innocent person with eighty thousand pounds of wheeled philosophy. There are security cameras and witnesses who will testify that you deliberately switched the tracks with full knowledge of the death it will cause.

You will be taken to court and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. And that's assuming mob justice doesn't get their hands on you first.

They never found the nutcase who tied up everyone to begin with, and the public is demanding an answer. They want metaphorical blood, and yours is the only blood they can get their hands on. You have no way of knowing if you'll be found guilty, but it's looking pretty bleak.

If you live in the USA, you'll likely spend decades in prison, and have a criminal record that makes you permanently unemployable for the rest of your life. I don't know the exact penalties for manslaughter in other countries, but you can assume you'll probably get the most severe punishment the law provides for.

Are you willing to save four lives at the expense of your own future?

------

My reasoning:

Original trolley problems is basically a question of 'one intentional death vs five passive deaths' and people overwhelmingly choose "pull the lever." If we reframe the problem as above, it gets more complex. It's not selfish to want a life for yourself. At what point are we no longer morally required to inconvenience ourselves to help others? I'd like to think I'd take one for the team and pull the lever, but I'm not sure I'd have the spine to if it actually came down to it

-----

For the smartasses:

I say this with love as I always try to find the loopholes in poorly worded polls, but I want to keep things nice and neat.

No loopholes. No stopping the train, no freeing the captives or otherwise mitigating the deaths of the people. You can have as long as you want to think about it, but you can't ask anyone for advice, or tell people anything before it happens.

If you live in a country where criminals are generally rehabilitated instead of senselessly punished to a ridiculous degree, then maybe the stakes are lower for pulling the lever, but that's only if you actually live in a country like that right now. You can't just say "well hypothetically I live in Denmark where we treat our prisoners like human beings" and sidestep the whole question :P

-----

Last but not least:

Yes, you can multitrack drift, if you really want to spend the rest of your life in prison for a sextuple manslaughter for some reason. I'm not making that a poll option tho :P

Silver scream music videos in order?

The other day I went to watch the video for IT Is The End and it looked like it started in the middle of a story, I did some poking and it looks like the whole album's music videos are designed to be watched back to back in almost a movie sort of thing? Am I understanding that right? Ended up not watching the video in favor of watching the whole thing in order

And if so, does the playlist below have all the videos in the correct order?

I've known of the existence of I9K for a while but am slowly getting more and more into them, and man is this a cool idea lol

If someone has a link to like an explanation of this somewhere that'd be amazing, this is just what I've been able to figure out by poking on their yt channel, and youtube isn't making my job any easier lol

I figure I'll hook my computer up to the TV and watch it with my adblocker so I don't have to deal with 30% of the screen time being ads lol, but if someone knows if they've been compiled and de-ad-riddled somewhere, that'd be amazing

Do you pick your nose (remember this is anonymous)

Reposted cause I botched it last time, sorry

"Sometimes" means "yes," I don't have enough room to add all the qualifier options. Asked about age cause it seems like the sort of thing everyone does as a kid but lots of people grow out of
