The vast majority of perfumes and colognes are attempting to recreate these scents, we all know it, nobody says it but we've all smelled genitals and we've all smelled the fragrances, we know where we're trying to go and we could be there right now but they took it from us. Had research been poured into scent technology a side effect would absolutely have been recreating these scents and then some day someone (probably Filian) would use the technology one time, and then it would explode across the vtuber scene like an asteroid slamming into the planet and wiping out all of human civilization. It wouldn't just be people shoving oil into pipes either, it would be a magnetic pad with a pack of specially engineered quasi-biological substances that can be electrically stimulated to reproduce any smell.
