What are the best dividend stocks for a consistent passive income stream?

I'm looking to build a portfolio of solid dividend payers. Something that gives me a regular income without too much risk. I'm not really interested in growth stocks right now just something steady. Any recommendations or strategies you guys use?

Found an old Bible from my great grandparents attic

It's really cool to see all the handwritten notes inside. They even marked their favorite verses. Makes me think about their faith journey.

When being misunderstood is its own form of validation

It’s so weird right. Like I know people dont get me and they never will. And sometimes that really sucks. I hate feeling like I have to explain myself all the time. But then there’s this other side of it.

When someone completely misses the point or misinterprets my intentions it almost feels good. It’s like proof that I’m operating on a different level. They can’t grasp my complexity. They just see the surface. And in a way that makes me feel superior. Like I’m playing chess and they’re playing checkers.

I guess it’s a twisted kind of validation. The idea that my mind is too intricate for ordinary people to understand. It reinforces my specialness. Even if it means feeling a little alone sometimes. Does anyone else get this feeling. Like the misunderstanding itself feeds the ego.

The weird paradox of needing a routine but hating it

I know I function better with a consistent schedule. When I have my mornings planned out my work days are more productive and I actually get things done. My evenings are more relaxed. My weekends feel more satisfying.

But the thought of actually sticking to a routine? It feels like a cage. My brain just rebels against it. The moment something feels obligatory or set in stone I lose all motivation. It's like my inner child is throwing a tantrum saying 'you can't tell me what to do'.

So I end up in this cycle of vaguely wanting structure but actively fighting against it. It's exhausting. Anyone else feel this way? How do you even trick yourself into routine without it feeling like a chore?

The weirdness of smart home tech

My wife and I finally caved and started getting some smart home stuff. You know like light bulbs and a thermostat. It all seemed so convenient.

But holy smokes it's a whole new level of annoying. The lights randomly change colors sometimes. The thermostat decides we're too cold when we're fine. And the smart speaker just turns itself on to listen to our conversations I guess. We say

WYR have everything you eat taste exactly like your favorite food or be able to instantly learn any new skill for 24 hours?

Option 1: Every single thing you put in your mouth tastes like your favorite food. This means your morning coffee tastes like it, your broccoli tastes like it, even water tastes like it. You only get to pick one favorite food ever.

Option 2: You can instantly master any skill for 24 hours. This means you can play a musical instrument like a prodigy, speak any language fluently, perform surgery perfectly, or code a complex AI. After 24 hours though the skill is completely gone from your mind like it never happened. You can pick a new skill each day if you want. No physical enhancements from the skill just the knowledge.
