Like the title says, I'm planning to take the N2 in 4 months, but I'm still a bit stuck in N3 and have been for a good while. I use Tobira and Anki, I listen to videos almost exclusively in Japanese, but vocab is still a huge struggle for me; both in reading and in reciting.

I've been studying for around four years on-and-off and really want to be able to get to N2 before I turn 20.

Is this an achievable goal, or am I pushing it? Any tips?

I'm a freshman in a college studying a wholly unrelated field, but I've been finding myself more and more interested in water treatment plants. I find the whole process so fascinating, and it's really neat seeing how the tap water we have comes to be!

Anyways, there's a few treatment plants in the city I'm moving to for college and I really want to go visit them! Do they usually turn visitors down? If you work in one, how'd you feel if a random student sent an email and asked for a tour?

I'm looking for a Japanese rock/metal song I saw in a music commercial on a ripped anime CD as a child.

Based off of the anime and the other Ads I remember on the CD, it aired between 2007-2009.

It was 100% NO LATER THAN 2009.

It was a fast paced song with lots of drum work and electric guitar involved.

I remember it was not a love song but rather a song with aggressive energy and lyrics.

The lighting was dark and the video was in black and white. The background seemed to be exposed concrete.

Someone in the video (could've been the drummer? not sure who) was wearing a realistic pig mask that completely covered the head. The lead singer's face was visible, and afair, was a male.

I remember the distinct logo animation of Sony Music Labels Japan playing before the Ad, so they were most likely under them or one of their sub labels (Epic, ki/oon, SME etc)

Unfortunately since I saw this almost two decades ago when I was no older than 10, I can't sing any concrete melodies from the song.

I'm a first-year Sheridan Animation student, and something I've been wondering for a while is if there are any realistic/financially responsible ways for me to do a course, or master program, or some sort of studies in Japan, at least for a bit in a few years -- whether that be during the summer in the coming years, after I graduate, a holiday working visa, or something of that nature.

My current Japanese level is N3 studying for N2, and am planning to take the JLPT next year.

If no such option exists, or if it's really not worth the hassle given the state of the industry, I also totally understand. That's the kind of thing I'm curious about anyways.

Any and all advice is very appreciated. Thank you so much!
