Barclays and NT week email

I just completed the hiring process and am now authorized to work, but have yet to receive the new teacher week email.

Do we have to register for Barclays or just show up?

If it's the former, who should I contact?

Thank you!

Haircolor and cut for 50+ woman?

I left the area years ago, but my mom is currently in search of a hairdresser since hers retired. She has thick hair (it was wavy but years of box dye damaged it a bit). She went to one of the cooler salons and the young hairdresser did a bad job.

Any recommendations for a seasoned hairdresser who can style her hair? (Bonus for anyone who is extroverted. My mom has never met a stanger.)

Thanks in advance! 😊

Blood blisters & ankle cuts

I bought the 8053 leather platform shoes towards the end of 2025 and have done so much walking and work to try and break them in (DM official heel grips [they fall off], moleskin padding [also falls off], multiple socks [bleed through on ankles], etc).

When I wear them, it feels like my soles are on fire from all the friction and I get blood blisters by the end of the day. I also always have one or two bleeding cuts on the back of my ankle.

I'm about to give up and sell them, but wanted to see if anyone had any advice. I'm 8.5 wide in a 9 sized shoe. I had 8 boots before and they did similar things and were even more painful since they were too small. I wish DM did half sizes.

It's a shame since I really like the aesthetics.

Thanks in advance for any help
