Took my Mazda CX-90 PHEV on a road trip

Just got back from a road trip in the CX-90 PHEV and, overall, had a pretty good time with it.

The few things that really stood out to me were the crappy suspension, uncomfortable/hard seats, lack of proper lane centering, and clunky transmission.

The suspension can get pretty jarring over all kinds of road imperfections, and I was honestly surprised by how limited the lane-keeping/centering assistance felt on a vehicle in this class. The transmission can also feel pretty clunky at times, especially around town.

That said, as long as I can see past those issues, the road trip was actually a lot of fun. Plenty of space (at least for two people), and comfortable enough for long stretches.

Overall, definitely some things Mazda could improve, but I still enjoyed the trip.

Anyone else taken their CX-90 PHEV on a long road trip recent? Curious if others have noticed the same things.

Just Joined The Club

Just picked up this 2008 SR5 5.7L V8, and man… what a ride.

Drove it 300 miles home after picking it up, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better first trip. This thing is a pleasure to drive, and I’m looking forward to many more road trips with it.

2008 Sequoia 4x4 SR5 with 235k miles.

Hey everyone,

I’m looking at buying a 2008 Sequoia SR5 4WD with 235,000 miles on the odometer.

The seller is asking $8500. Visually, the vehicle looks like it is in good condition, and the interior/exterior seem well taken care of. However, the mileage is obviously up there.
Before I pull the trigger and take it to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), I wanted to get your take on the price.

Is $8500 a fair price in the current market for a 4th gen with this mileage?

Aside from the notorious frame rust, are there any specific 2008 problem areas or costly maintenance items I should look out for at 235k miles?

PHEV 2025 "Low on Fuel" still displayed after filling tank

This happened yesterday, I filled up the tank and it started showing "Low Fuel" warning on dash. I though it will go away after a while but it hasn't. Had anyone experienced this issue? Appreciate any insights, Thank you.
