Pumpkin spice hair! π
I henna'd my hair for the first time in years! First time using cassia and indigo too. I doubt I'll bother with indigo in the future since it's more finicky and I like easy but it was fun to experiment. I used 100g henna, 75g cassia, and 25g indigo, all from Mehandi/Ancient Sunrise:
Ancient Sunrise Rarity Henna
Clarity Cassia
Ancient Sunrise Sudina Indigo
I first did the rain wash treatment because I have hard water. Then mixed the henna and cassia the day before with amla and room temperature distilled water. Then added the indigo the next day right before applying. I left it in my hair about four hours.
My stupid reusable gloves gave out on me as I put them on but I'd already added the indigo so the clock was ticking. I dealt with disintegrating gloves as I applied which led to the interesting root coverage in the second to last pic π Ah well, I'll get it better in the future with new gloves.
The last picture is my gray/silver hair before. It's so much lighter on top so that's where it's more vibrant and it's fairly subtle underneath. My main goal was the softness and frizz control of henna so the exact color wasn't super important. I always did all henna with lemon juice in the past but thought I'd experiment with a mix this time. I'm digging it! My husband commented on how much softer it was and less like a frizzy cloud π€£
