I know all the old UFC heads are going to defend it, but this version of this bullshit, encourages the worst fucking spamming button mashing nonsense without any penalty to your stamina. Like we're seriously a notch above rock'em sock'em robots as the level of sophistication for this fucking game right now.

The game mechanics encourage the drunk monkey with a controller play style and so many of you just mash buttons and hope for the best.

These guys are 2 of the hardest working musicians I've ever seen. The physical demands on both of them is crazy, and they are touring the rest of the year with very few nights off.

My favorite AdP song seems to rotate between Fabienk and Sarniezz, with occasional days when I have to hear Utzp.

I have a working theory about one of the reasons why these songs work so well, and it's on full display in Fabienk- all music relies on tension and release to invoke all kinds of emotions. This tension is usually by the use of various cadences, leading notes, time signature changes and syncopation. AdP seems to he building tension with non-tradional intervals between notes until the first climax of the song when we hear that cathartic guitar solo, which if you analyze it, uses almost all intervals that would be found in regular tonal music, so they are leaning into the microtonal stuff to build the tension, and resolvoing it with phrase that is very much grounded in modern tonal music. It's a pretty genius and novel way to craft a song.

These guys are both elite musicians, their technical expertise and ability to play intricate songs nearly flawlessly is beyond impressive. I wonder if they had not come up with these costumes and back story if they would have blown up the way they have.

The use of the looper the way they use it is like walking a tightrope with very little margin for errors, because any mistake will loop and play again for the rest of the song. They make it look easy, but the level of difficulty to pull this off every night is insane.

I read somewhere that Khn is sometimes playing the next looping section on mute before it actually is heard, which must feel like traveling to 4 bars into the future.

The increasing popularity of these guys has restored some of my faith in humanity and caused me to reconsider my assertion that humans are mostly idiots.
