Is this Apparel Group interview invitation legitimate?

Hi everyone,

I received an online interview invitation for a Client Advisor position at Apparel Group, scheduled for August 21, 2026 at 3:20 PM UAE time.

The invitation came from recruiter@appareluae.online and the interview link is through meetify.cloud.

I wasn’t 100% sure whether I had actually applied for the position, so I checked my browser history/cookies and found that I had visited Apparel Group’s website before, so it’s possible I applied previously.

However, I’m still concerned about the invitation because the sender’s domain doesn’t look like Apparel Group’s official domain, and I’ve seen warnings about suspicious recruitment interviews using Meetify.

I already contacted Apparel Group through their official email and phone numbers to verify the invitation, but I haven’t received a response yet.

Has anyone here recently applied to Apparel Group or received an interview invitation from this email/domain or through Meetify.cloud?

I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has dealt with their recruitment team could confirm whether this is legitimate.

Thanks!

Looking for advice on becoming a Virtual Assistant and finding remote work

Hi everyone, I’m trying to get into Virtual Assistance and eventually find a remote junior/entry-level position.

So far, I have experience with customer service, and I’m comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. I also have some experience with Notion, Canva, video editing, calendars, Zoom, AI tools, and file management.

I’m currently trying to figure out what skills I’m missing and what I should focus on next. I’d also really like to get some practical experience instead of just taking courses.

For those already working as VAs/Executive Assistants:

  • What skills/tools should I learn next?
  • How can I get practical experience with no professional VA experience?
  • Where would you recommend looking for junior/entry-level remote jobs?
  • Is there anything you wish you had learned before starting?
  • I also have a question about English. I can understand and communicate in English fairly well, including conversations, but I sometimes struggle with more advanced business/technical terminology or professional communication. How important is this for entry-level VA roles, and what would be the best way to improve it?

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

[for hire] Trying to find a remote job — what roles should I actually be looking for?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to move into remote work, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have experience working remotely.

My background is mainly in customer service and administrative work. I currently work in customer service in Dubai, handling customer inquiries, complaints, CRM updates, data entry, and day-to-day customer support.

I also have previous administrative experience, so I’m comfortable with Excel, Word, Outlook, document management, organizing data, and general office tasks.

Ideally, I’m looking for something remote related to:

  • Customer Support / Call Center
  • Data Entry
  • CRM support and updating customer records
  • Virtual or Administrative Assistant work
  • Email / Chat Support
  • Or a role that combines some of these

I’m also comfortable using AI tools to help with productivity, research, writing, and organizing work. I’m definitely not claiming to be an expert in everything — I just genuinely enjoy learning new tools and improving my skills whenever I can.

My English is good; Arabic is my native language, and I’m comfortable communicating with customers and working independently.

The difficult part is that I’m not really sure where I should focus my search or what job titles would fit my experience best.

If you were in my position, what roles would you search for? Are there any websites, companies, or skills you would recommend focusing on to get a legitimate remote job?

>

And if anyone happens to know of a remote opportunity where my background could be useful, I’d genuinely appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks for reading. Any advice would mean a lot.

[for hire]Need Help Finding a Remote Job

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working in Dubai as a Customer Service Representative, and I'm looking for a remote opportunity where I can continue building my career.

I have over 2 years of experience in customer service and administrative support. My day-to-day work includes handling customer inquiries, resolving complaints, updating CRM systems, data entry, organizing information, and providing support through phone and email.

My skills include:

  • Customer Support (Phone, Email & Chat)
  • CRM systems
  • Data Entry & Record Management
  • Appointment Scheduling & Follow-ups
  • Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Administrative Support
  • Strong communication in Arabic and English

Outside of work, I enjoy learning new skills. I regularly use AI tools to improve productivity and automate simple tasks, and I'm currently learning the basics of video editing—cutting clips, trimming, adding captions, simple transitions, audio syncing, and creating clean social media videos. I'm always looking to improve and pick up new skills that make me more valuable.

I'm mainly looking for roles like:

  • Customer Support
  • Call Center
  • Email/Chat Support
  • Data Entry
  • CRM Support
  • Virtual Assistant
  • Administrative Assistant

I'd really appreciate any advice on where someone with my background should focus their job search. If your company is hiring or you know of any legitimate remote opportunities, I'd be grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

Thank you for reading!

How to land Remote/WFH Customer Service or Call Center roles in UAE? Need advice on finding HR emails and direct contacts!

Hey everyone,

I’m currently working in a fast-paced customer-facing role here in Dubai, but I’m actively looking to transition into a remote / work-from-home (WFH) position—ideally in Customer Service, Call Center support, or any entry-to-mid-level remote operations.

Since I already have hands-on experience dealing directly with high-end customers and handling daily operational stress, I know I can bring strong communication and problem-solving skills to a remote setup.

I’m hoping to get some genuine advice or leads from people who have successfully made this move in the UAE:

What I’m looking to learn:

  1. Where are the best places to find REAL remote roles in the UAE? (Platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed often list "hybrid" or fake remote posts—what actually works?)
  2. How to get direct contact info for HR / Recruiters? What’s the best way to find verified emails or reach decision-makers directly instead of just throwing CVs into an online portal?
  3. Are there specific agencies or outsourcing companies in Dubai that specialize in hiring remote customer support teams?

If you’ve transitioned to a remote job here, or if you know how to pitch a CV directly to recruiters in this field, I’d really appreciate your tips, tools, or direct advice!

Thanks in advance!

My honest experience working at Spinneys Dubai: Insane profit margins, brutal strictness, and a AED 2,225 salary

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my experience working at Spinneys Dubai—both to document what it’s actually like behind the scenes and to get some perspective from others in the UAE retail industry.

For anyone living here, Spinneys needs no introduction. It’s easily one of the most prominent premium retailers in the UAE, the official partner of the UK’s Waitrose, and a flagship operation under Fine Fair Food.

Financially, the place is a goldmine. The profit margins are massive—products routinely sell at double, triple, or even higher markups compared to standard markets because the target demographic is strictly high-end.

Wearing 4 Hats at Once: The Daily Reality

From the outside, it looks sleek, organized, and world-class. From the inside, my daily routine involves wearing multiple heavy hats simultaneously:

  • Multiple roles in one shift: I work across the Deli counter, prepare ready-to-eat meals, manage the salad bar, and handle direct customer service all at once.
  • An exhausting system: The relentless focus on micro-compliance, food safety policies, and endless corporate rules is mentally and physically draining.
  • Zero margin for error: You’re expected to operate like a high-speed machine while maintaining face-to-face customer service with high-end clientele. The obsession with policy enforcement leaves almost no breathing room.

The Math Doesn’t Add Up

Despite the multitasking, intense workload, and the millions generated in daily store sales, the salary stands at AED 2,225.

And the basic salary is only 1200 AED !!

When you weigh that paycheck against Dubai’s cost of living and the sheer effort required to run multiple busy stations daily, the gap between what you contribute and what you take home feels enormous.

Why I’m Posting

I’m sharing this not just to vent, but to start a discussion:

  1. To anyone who’s worked in UAE retail/fresh food: Is this level of extreme policy enforcement and multi-role expectation standard across major brands, or are Spinneys/Waitrose unusually intense?
  2. Career advice: How can someone leverage this heavy experience (handling operations, food prep, and direct customer service) to transition into better roles with fairer compensation?
  3. There are people who take less than me !!

Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or advice!
