All devices drop internet access simultaneously, randomly and frequently. No log, no events, no trace.

EE Smart Hub 6 Plus (SH31B) running firmware r4.26.3 (according to the EE site, the current ver)

One laptop & one mobile phone through Wifi, my desktop (Windows 10 (19045), R7 1700X, MSI B450 Gaming Plus board, other stuff etc.) connected with a beautiful beige lan cable. For the last couple of months all devices will lose internet at the same time, but stay connected to the router.

Check the router and it says nope, internet's fine, has been up for hours. Check logs, nothing at all. Event viewers and logs on the devices all stare at me blankly. After a few minutes the internet comes back.

Have tried restarting and a reset, eventually discussed it with EE when I had to call up about another matter and they went through the whole kit & caboodle and they also came up empty handed other than wifi congestion locally. Agreed to monitor it for a month and it's dropped out 20 times at random times of the day and night, for between 1 and 5 minutes. Tried a replacement lan cable, literally everything I can think of and everything that was suggested and it's still happening (three times today).

As far as I can figure it has to be something about this router - called up again today, the dude wanted to go through alll of the same steps as before, convinced restarting it would fix it or that it was all down to wifi congestion, thanked him for his time - very polite and friendly but I'm not going around in circles every time I call up, and I asked a couple of times if I could loan a replacement router for a few days but that went nowhere, so I turn to the floor.

Anyone have any ideas? Happy to share more info, as long as you're not after my credit card information... or my opinion on anything political. Or musical theater.

Pre thanks and good vibes for any suggestions, even if they involve batman or chanting.

Met this one in Essex, UK and not sure what they are but would like to know

Hey you wonderful people, can anyone help me identify this handsome individual I was hanging out with in the UK, please? Been through a few sites but can't find anything similar, just a very dark brown, about 2.5 inches when wings are closed, looks like a dried up leaf with beautiful big eyes.

Thanks in advance, good vibes ready for distribution

Radio stops if not actually on the screen

Sorry if this has been covered before, I can only find references to the app and the search function on Reddit is... well, it's there.

I use Firefox to open radio streams in the browser. Worked fine on my Galaxy A53 for years, great service, but I've upgraded to an A57 and now, unless the site is actively on my screen, after about thirty seconds the audio stops. Even if I just move to another browser tab, swipe back and it's stopped itself.

I've been through a few posts about similar but can't seem to find a solution. Everything up to date, have cleared cookies/cache, other streaming radio sites work fine - radio.garden is the only site that seems to do this, so any suggestions or advice very much appreciated.

Pre-thanks and good vibes if anyone knows a fix, ta

Stuff you used to complain about but you now miss

Over the last few days I've had to speak to the bank, EE, two delivery companies and needed help with a phone-booking system. Every number I've called I have to navigate an automated system, get offered AI answers and asked questions by bots, tried online chats and that's all bots and it dawned on me... man, I really miss overseas call centres with humans.

Yeah, accents can be tough and remote accessing accounts and systems was a trial but hell, they were always polite and always did their best to help with the tools they had, even if it wasn't much. Today I got fed up with one bot that kept going around in circles, managed to find a way to speak to a human and it was an overseas call centre, but he heard me out, agreed it sucked and did what he could to fix the issue.

Thinking back to all the fuss in the early 00s over outsourcing customer support to Sri-Lanka or Singapore, or India or wherever, how the service wasn't good or they were hard to understand - we were hard to understand too, but they tried and often helped. I miss that.

What else used to get us griping but, looking back, we realise we kinda miss it?

Half price donuts at Tom's?

Loaded a save in Watson and I guess I caught them on break or something. There are 19 cops, 4 MaxTac and 4 Arasaka staff, no civilians at all.

Is it always like this and I just never noticed it before or do they spawn in a location, then just assume whatever activity seems right?

Apparently I'm not a human and MS will do whatever it takes to prevent me logging in.

Last week I had to reset the password for a Hotmail inbox I've had for 20+ years.

Worked fine for ages with the various passwords I've used then it decided to challenge me out of the blue - I went through every step then it tells me I need to create ANOTHER email address, on top of the backup one I already have, and locks me to that page. Can't go back, refreshing or closing and opening the link again, straight back to that page. Eventually I concede defeat, whined in Reddit & discovered that there's a tiny, tiny link only on the very first page of that process to use my password, which worked immediately.

Got me a bit paranoid - why did it go through all this suddenly? So I decide to reset my password once I was logged in and that turned out to be one of the TRIALS OF HERCULES but it eventually worked after I jumped through a dozen hoops, verified my identity four ways and I've logged back in with the new password several times since.

Today I want to sign in at work using the new password: Please verify the end of your phone number - Tap in the numbers it asks for. We're sending you a code, enter that code - done. Now prove you're not a robot - click some arrows to move a guy onto this tile that's such low res I can't work out if that's a match and when I move it changes the symbols... okay, audio option! What's the sound of drums? Options play, denied, apparently either I or this gadget doesn't know the difference between drums and other instruments.

At this point I decide to just use my phone as it's already logged in there; please verify your phone number again - the phone I'm using right now to see that message you want to send me? +sigh+ okay, put in the missing digits and... "that method isn't working right now"...

I get 2FA, that makes sense, but I've entered the correct password (1) then confirmed the phone number associated with the inbox (2), entered the code it sent me (3), clicked some images (4) and I'm still no closer to logging in...

Do you want people to use your services or are you doing everything you possibly can to drive us away and just abandon the inboxes we've used for decades? If I have to create a THIRD email address to attach to the account, why wouldn't I just use that new email inbox?

So fucking fed up with all this...

WF2 - upgrades and traction

Hey folks, finally seem to have found a steady AMD driver that doesn't timeout every other race, so had a chance to play around with the upgrades a bit more.

Some cars (eg Hurricane) seem to really enjoy all the various upgrades and it's not until you proper over-heat it that it starts to get twitchy, but I'm trying to get a decent setup for some other motors and I can't seem to find a balance that keeps the tyres on the ground and maintains decent traction once the engine is putting out some real power.

Assists are usually half/off/half but I've turned the TC back on half to see if that helps but still, spinning tyres and rubbish stability when I ride a kerb or hit some bumpy ground.

What am I missing? Anyone had any success finding that extra bit of grip? Stumped, so open to any suggestions or tips. Ta much in advance.
