All devices drop internet access simultaneously, randomly and frequently. No log, no events, no trace.
EE Smart Hub 6 Plus (SH31B) running firmware r4.26.3 (according to the EE site, the current ver)
One laptop & one mobile phone through Wifi, my desktop (Windows 10 (19045), R7 1700X, MSI B450 Gaming Plus board, other stuff etc.) connected with a beautiful beige lan cable. For the last couple of months all devices will lose internet at the same time, but stay connected to the router.
Check the router and it says nope, internet's fine, has been up for hours. Check logs, nothing at all. Event viewers and logs on the devices all stare at me blankly. After a few minutes the internet comes back.
Have tried restarting and a reset, eventually discussed it with EE when I had to call up about another matter and they went through the whole kit & caboodle and they also came up empty handed other than wifi congestion locally. Agreed to monitor it for a month and it's dropped out 20 times at random times of the day and night, for between 1 and 5 minutes. Tried a replacement lan cable, literally everything I can think of and everything that was suggested and it's still happening (three times today).
As far as I can figure it has to be something about this router - called up again today, the dude wanted to go through alll of the same steps as before, convinced restarting it would fix it or that it was all down to wifi congestion, thanked him for his time - very polite and friendly but I'm not going around in circles every time I call up, and I asked a couple of times if I could loan a replacement router for a few days but that went nowhere, so I turn to the floor.
Anyone have any ideas? Happy to share more info, as long as you're not after my credit card information... or my opinion on anything political. Or musical theater.
Pre thanks and good vibes for any suggestions, even if they involve batman or chanting.
