I think Leo is a great pick for this. I hope they are smart enough to include an epic shootout. So many cool things came out of the first heat movie. Personally, I can’t wait.

I wonder if it’s going to be a prequel or sequel… and I truly hope we get something worth cloning out of it.

Also wonder if they’re going to expose Hanna’s coke habit, which they wrote out of the first movie after they started filming.

Malaysian 653 upper mated to a A1 604 slick lower with used GI A2 stock (storage). PA GLX micro with horseshoe delta BDC keeps getting put back on this thing; although the PRO I bought for it is wonderful this GLX is more shootable.

Parkerized Ithaca 37 DS Police Special Long tube. This one was a PD special order, made in the early 80s and its slam fires. These are getting harder to find. It’s the smoothest shotty I own, by far, I can air rack it, especially with slugs.

I had a very interesting trip to a ranch near Klondike. I saw a giant Eagle wrestling with a 5.5 foot rattlesnake, on the mailbox when I arrived. I should’ve known then It was going to be fun. …..FRT 556 tracers and dragons breath at night, and sniping watermelon during the day made for a great trip.

I remember Cub Scouts, and I’ve done tons of fishing, but my skills have eroded.

Any advice from people rocking Paracord on 2 point set ups would be appreciated. I’d like the rifle to orient right side up when Slung. I want to use simple paracord, no tape, and none of the bulky nylon straps.

I’ve seen YouTube videos about tying knots, etc. but I haven’t found anything about keeping it from slipping off the back end or moving too close to the charging handle using just para cord. I really don’t want to use tape.

Today we shot watermelon.

Last night we fired some super dragons breath at the stars; having no idea that the Wad could catch on fire and “float” over 100 yards in the wind. After a 100 yard run in the dark, with a bucket of water, We won’t do that again.

Both of them ran flawlessly. For our purpose, (desert sniping watermelon at 40, 80 and 100 yards) I enjoyed shooting the retro more. It helped that this old colt 653 upper had a prism horseshoe+delta bdc.

It’s shocking to me how tiny the baby quail are… They remind me of little fuzzy ping-pong balls. I believe I’ve seen them rolling down the street on a windy day, chasing after mom; no feet, rolling in the breeze.

Slings! Field expedient combo of SMG (grease gun I think) + Alice Cam strap.

I made a simple sandwich (pic 2). The fluffy cotton SMG sling really locks into the Alice nylon under pressure, and it’s not moving. I’d love to hear/see, if other members have unique slings.

Questions….

1). Can anybody tell me what camo is on the sling in pic 3? Frog skin?

2). I recently got a PRO on the Carry handle, I put it up there with what I had laying around . I’d like to get it as low as possible. any tips on both pic rail and ring, if others have mounted in a better way; but I have 30 mm vortex low (.84?) coming from Brownells. I searched through some past posts and it seems like that might be the consensus. I’m wondering if it still is..
