Would you consider sky-highways cheating?

It's super easy to have them and just drive the explorer faster to reach my outer outposts of quartz and sulfur, and to explore and pick up mercer spheres and hard drives, but I feel like I'm cheating a lot by doing so lol

Became so obsessed with finding hard drives that I forgot to automate

Last time I played this game (and I was far from finished at that time) was in 0.5, now that I started playing again I feel like I play a brand new game.

I've just started and since I found that hard drive that gave me the Cast Screw alternate recipe, I became obsessed with finding more hard drives to find better recipes for steel, unfortunately I'm too early in the game and these big radiactive spiders and monsters are very difficult to kill.

What weapons do you guys use? Is it the nail gun?

My super early game factory

I know, I know, I will have to tear it down in the future, however, I built it with 4 smelters on each ground floor, and because the nodes are normal, it should technically support up to MK2 miners, but I will have to rework the constructors as they are not enough for MK2.

This small factory produces iron plates, iron rods and screws for early game, I hated the spaghetti so I thought I should build a box and hide everything away lol

Scout mud tyres question?

https://preview.redd.it/y8zprzhv427h1.png?width=3829&format=png&auto=webp&s=e1d9dbbbd04d8406a1f890379a342c5c57f8c7e7

With JAT MS III tyres when I drive on asphalt, although they are slippery, my scout is quite fast but as soon as I transition over to dirt road it slows me down massively. I'm unsure if it's the stats fault, I know the JAT MS III tyre has 2.1 on Dirt and 2.4 on Mud, I then changed to JAT MS II which has 2.4 on Dirt and 2.1 on Mud and didn't notice much of a difference, was thinking to try JAT MS I with 2.7 Dirt but it only has 1.8 in Mud.

Is it normal to get slown down so fast when transitioning to dirt from asphalt? When I used the highway default tyres it wasn't slowing down on dirt, it was just very difficult in mud..

What are your New Game + settings?

I've so far finished all maps up to Yukon and I really like it, however, it started getting quite easy as I have enough money to do whatever I want.

I'm looking for a challenge while also trying to keep it fun so I'm trying to get other people's ideas.

I thought winching a truck with engine ON would not require pulling it?

https://preview.redd.it/mcisllpgnn5h1.png?width=3839&format=png&auto=webp&s=06ff16585c0758f3f09f80067b8757e11820fda2

Winching them they barely move, even tho the one in the back has engine on. I thought I would be faster to bring materials with 2 trucks at the same time but not really...

UPDATE: I somehow fixed it, the two things that I did that seem to have worked (thanks for the ones mentioning this in the comments):

- Manually putting the truck in neutral before winching it

- Google AI mentioned to make sure I cap my FPS to 60 (my 4k monitor refresh rate) as this might mess with the physics engine somehow

It now works like a charm and the front truck doesn't pull alone anymore, thanks everyone!
