Any other media with "Alien aliens"?
One of the things I love about Project Hail Mary is the depiction of biospheres so outside our own. And I've never seen anything try to be as exotic as Andy Weir. Most other franchises with aliens accept their limitations and either have mundane aliens or intentionally hide them since the mystery is more interesting than their answer could be.
I'm aware of worldbuilding projects that play around with speculative evolution, such as the Birrin Project or Orion's Arm. But it would be nice to see more self-contained stories that take advantage of the exotic worldbuilding instead of being disconnected artworks and wikis.
So far the only stories that seem comparable in this respect are Arrival (2016) and the Runaway to the Stars webcomic, but they don't quite scratch the same itch. I've heard good things about The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet but I haven't read any of it yet.
Any recommendations?

Of course he wasn't 19 in 2015, because Chara fell in 201X, not Frisk. But still interesting that about 11 years have passed since Undertale released.

Map of the Earth divided into regions of approx ~40 million people
40mil is around the population of the average country (around 200 countries, around 8 billion people). I wanted to see what would happen if you tried to make every country have that population.
The highest exception is Sao Paulo with 48 million (8 million off population goal).
I made this about a year ago. Thought I might post it here. I don't remember my exact logic, but my sources were whatever numbers were on wikipedia and worldometer. This isn't exact and I'm unsure if it ever could be.
