I'm a Blake Hinson fan

I got a soft spot for two-way deal guys cause they're the ones that are getting dragged all over between G-league games and NBA travel.

Blake though has some game to him, his shot is pure and he's got the 6'8 frame to go with it. I was happy to see a sweet shooting player wearing #2 again for the Jazz but looks like that honors gonna maybe go to Flip this year.

I hope Blake balls out and gets offered an official deal with us.

Anyone Know of Any Dwight Schultz Interviews Out There?

Chowder is, if nothing else, a masterclass in voice acting line delivery, and the poster child of that was Dwight as Mung, it's EVERY episode with out fail and I have to know if there's like some kind of obscure panel or something from 2008 where he explains where he goes to get Mung's voice and how he came up with it? How he felt about working on the show? I'd really appreciate it if anyone has anything, truly no wrong answers.

After 4 Years, I'm FREE

Last night was my last shift as a Home Depot Associate.

First summer out of Highschool I joined the MET team, and then as I started school I transferred to lumber where I'd spend the next 4 years while I worked through my degree and now I've been fortunate enough to get a job using that degree.

I'll miss my fellow associates that made it easier to be there, and I'll miss driving the equipment, but I want to remind everybody that management, particularly everyone higher than a supervisor, is NOT your friend and profit off of all of your back breaking labor.

There are going to be obvious exceptions to this, the rare paragons that lead from the front and by example rather than your typical delegators, but In 4 years and multiple management changes, I can count on one hand how many of those I've actually met.

"Well obviously leadership is going to get paid more!" Yeah, yeah, no.. Those assholes are pocketing semi annual bonuses ranging from 10-25% for ASMs and CXMs, and up to 50% for Store Managers, based on how closely the store hits specific sales, expense, and profitability goals. While all us little people who actually put the sweat into making it happen get the graaaaaand prize of maybe an extra $120 on our check that month via "success sharing" if we're lucky.

These are of course salary bonuses I'm talking about, so if they've been with the company a good while and are old fuddy duddy bastards, like at my now former store, who do nothing but walk around and act like an assholes. Odds are their salary is pretty big and that bonus is getting up into the $15,000+ range for dong fuck all.

Anyways, just thought I'd help inform my fellow associates, because in 4 years it took a former associate turned supervisor for another store coming back to visit on a whim and telling me that at the end of my time with the company for me to learn that, maybe it's common knowledge and I'm just late to the party.

I laughed, I cried, I wore that uncomfortable goddamn apron for 4 years. Good-Bye everybody :')

Jazz Fans Knew About Brunson Since 2022

That playoff series was literally why he got his contract with New York and even then I thought he deserved every penny, What an insane handle and shot making ability to have as a compact guard.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms got me questioning everything

Life has made me disgustingly late to this party, but this is my favorite piece of media right now and it's blowing my mind how brief it is.

It's a mere 6, 24 minute episodes, and it manages to cover so much ground and incorporate so many memorable characters and have such good acting and props and choreography and sets and music and the message is relevant and good and oh my fuck what a masterclass.

Bertie Carvel, brings Baelor to life for what is a total of 15~ minutes screen time, and I feel like you can argue he's one of the best characters in the entire series, and he's DEAD now. After a mere FIFTEEN minutes and he was more impactful and stood for more and said more than I feel like most shows' characters will with hours of screen time.

You can go down the list and say something along those lines about literally the entire goddamn cast but I feel like he's the poster child for my point of, how dare this show only be 6 episodes, I want to consume this and only this for the rest of time, and yet if it were to dare be any longer it might ruin the pacing and flow, thus becoming the type of storytelling that it completely blows out of the water in the first place.

Anyways, I don't know what to do with myself now, this was genuinely so fucking good and I didn't pace myself at ALL so now I have to subsist on the cast interviews and the like because I'm not even near ready to move on from this masterpiece.

Mandatory annual re-watch of the masterpiece, and I love how I find something new each watch

This time around, for whatever reason, I'm laughing my guts out over how Wirt is like, well known and well liked among his classmates at his school, the girls at the football game knew who he was and didn't even give him shit about his weird costume, and he was terrified to go into the party and then everybody at the party just thought he was invited and were happy to see him but he insists on internalizing this narrative that he's this social outcast. 11/10

The Irony is not lost on me

For the first time in 50 years of this franchise do we have a number one overall pick, super star potential player with an amazing demeanor and mindset, saying not only does he want to play for us, but that he and his family LIKE IT HERE, and it just so happens to be the same year we finally move UP in the draft and get the SECOND overall pick... it's almost cruel

Like yeah the Jazz are sitting comfy regardless, and I really like DP's game the more I watch film on him, and anything could happen come draft day, but if that isn't just classic Jazz luck idk what is. Nothing can ever just be a full blown win for us it has to be asterisked something
