What I ate on my 20th birthday 🎂 (a week late because I got banned lol)

My birthday was on the 28th, but I got banned by the mods for 5 days so here we are a week later 😭
Went to The Turkish House in Bajaj Nagar with my friend and we got Schezwan noodles and a Farm Gardenia pizza. It was just the two of us, so yEaahh this was genuinely all we ordered 😂
And of course, birthday cake 🎂 The cake topper was made with a bunch of my childhood pictures and honestly I loved it so much 😭💕
Nothing crazy, just a little birthday dinner with my girl and some good food. Turned 20!! 🥹
Repost cause you could see my face in the first one i made 😭🙏🏼

Looking for psychological/feminine movies with disturbing, dreamy vibes like Black Swan, Pearl & The Virgin Suicides

I’m looking for a movie to watch tonight! I recently watched The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, Priscilla, Black Swan, Pearl, Obsession, Girl Interrupted, the ugly stepsister and X and I’m really into this kind of vibe. I’d love something psychological, disturbing, dreamy, feminine, melancholic, coming-of-age, thriller/horror basically anything that leaves me staring at the screen afterwards like wtf did I just watch😭 Please recommend me something!! 🫶🏻

My dad trashed the house because I wanted to have chicken

pata hai aaj kya hua I wanted to get KFC today because I haven't had chicken in about two months. My dad is very religious and only allows non-veg on Sundays. I've always followed that rule and never really fought him on it.

When I asked today, he said no. I was disappointed, but I accepted it because my mom was making egg curry anyway.

While I was in the shower, my mom tried to convince him to let me have it, and an argument started. From what I was told, my mom said he shouldn't force his personal religious rules on everyone else.

The situation escalated badly. He started yelling, throwing things around the house, and broke a few things. He also tried to leave the house, which is something he often does after arguments. He'll disappear for hours and refuse to answer calls.

He told me to "go eat shit," even though I wasn't actively arguing with him and wasn't even present for most of the discussion.

Afterward, my mom was the one who cleaned up the mess while he left.

The hardest part is that this doesn't feel like a one-time incident. We're just exhausted by this pattern of behavior. he ones broke his own phone threw it across the room , broke a glass coffee table and more stuff .A simple disagreement turns into yelling, broken things, and everyone having to deal with the aftermath.

I know this isn't really about KFC. It just happened to be the thing that triggered the argument today. I'm posting because I don't tell this stuff to anyone, for the world my father is like a literal saint, the most patient man on the earth type shit and my mom doesn't want to worry other family members by telling about his habits cause that would destroy his image

“Maybe my evil stepmother is lying” a thought Sophie never had 😭

I love Sophie, but this genuinely frustrated me while watching An Offer From a Gentleman 😭

Sophie’s entire suffering in Araminta’s house could’ve been avoided if she just READ the will properly 😭

I completely understand that Sophie was emotionally conditioned her whole life to accept less, avoid conflict, and survive quietly. Araminta was manipulative and intimidating, and Sophie didn’t really have anyone in her corner. I also understand the historical/social limitations Sophie faced as an illegitimate daughter.

But at the same time… why was she blindly trusting the woman who openly hated her since childhood over her own father??

Sophie was educated and intelligent enough to realize something felt off. Her father clearly cared enough to make sure she was educated and provided for in some way, so why wouldn’t she at least question the terms of the will properly or ask a solicitor for help before accepting Araminta’s version of everything?

I know the story needs angst and suffering for the plot to happen 😭 but this felt less like “tragic circumstance” and more like “a problem that could’ve been solved with basic legal literacy.”

are these prices just for gym worth it??

was searching for women-only gyms and found this really aesthetic looking one. Like very clean, fancy, pinterest-y vibes and all that 💀

I went for a tour a while ago and the place actually looked pretty nice, but the pricing kinda shocked me so now I can’t tell if it’s genuinely worth it or if I’m just getting influenced by the aesthetics 😭

Also the weird part is on their Instagram they had mentioned around 3k before, but when I asked there they were like “aisa koi offer nahi tha” 😭 so now I’m even more confused. if it was 3k i would've gone but 6k just for gym

are expensive women-only gyms actually worth it?

What do you even reply in this situation???

was talking to this guy and he mentioned liking some artist, and I said lana is better 😭 and then he starts asking me “how many grammys does she have?” “what’s her net worth?” like that’s supposed to explain art???

how do you explain to someone that lana’s music is a feeling more than a statistic. that some artists aren’t loved because they’re the richest or the most awarded, but because they make people feel seen in ways nobody else can. you can’t measure melancholy, nostalgia, femininity, heartbreak and longing with grammys and numbers 😭

also half the greatest artists ever were underappreciated in their time anyway. awards and money don’t automatically decide impact. lana’s music literally became a whole aesthetic, influenced an entire generation of artists, and soundtracked so many people’s lives. that matters more to me than net worth ever will.

Anyone else finding it insanely hard to restart studying after the whole NEET situation this year? 😭

I took around a 10 day break after everything and now it genuinely feels so hard to get back into studying. Like I sit with books open and my brain just refuses to cooperate even though I WANT to do well.

Meanwhile my mom keeps saying stuff like:
“This is your second chance.”
“You’re wasting time.”
“Tumhe life mein kuch karna hi nahi hai.”
“You’re made for some mediocre BSc shit, not NEET.”
“If you can’t study 14 hours a day you’ll never clear it.”

And today I was literally just eating lunch slowly and she started lecturing me about how I have no seriousness towards life (like gng what)

The thing is this didn’t even start after NEET. Even before the exam she used to keep saying I’m lazy, not serious enough, not made for this blah blah blah

And honestly I didn’t even score HORRIBLY Obviously not enough for what I wanted but it’s not like maine poora saal kuch kiya hi nahi 😭

Now they’ve taken my phone away too and keep saying I should study 14 hours a day. But instead of motivating me it genuinely just makes me feel rebellious and mentally exhausted.

I know parents worry about our future and all, but constant pressure sunke ab padhai se aur anxiety hone lagi hai. Every time I sit to study I just feel guilty and overwhelmed instead
