Is it possible to have a marketing career without a degree?

What's a career path in marketing for a non-degree holder?

Hi. I'm 28 Male. Living in the Philippines. I just want to share my life and see if I'm undervaluing myself? I don't know, my ex used to tell me that my career has reached a stagnant point. Maybe it was one of the reasons why she left me.

Here's my situation:

\\- college dropout, but taking a Marketing Course from an online university so I can eventually get a degree

\\- first job was IT sales. I handled Autodesk and Matterport products. Was in charge of marketing and selling my products, up until after sales. I didn't like sales, but I enjoyed marketing my products since it's not that known yet here. I stayed there for one and a half years. My salary back then was Php 25,000 + commission if I hit my quota

\\- second and current job is Marketing for a real estate brokerage company. I've always wanted to be in Marketing so I was happy I landed this job. I handle sponsorships due to my previous sales experience. Also recently I got promoted for handling two marketing associates under me. My salary is currently around Php 29,000 + commissions from any sponsorship deals I make. I'm currently 3 years under the company

What career paths do you guys think is best for me? Am I currently underpaid? The company I'm currently working for is around 7 years old still, so it's not like they can give a higher salary. Would it be better for me to look for greener pastures, and considering that I don't have a degree is that even possible?

Thank you for listening to my story, and I hope to hear guidance from you

28 [M4F] Looking for someone to talk to

Edit: thank you for the positive reception. There's a lot that messaged me since the post is up, and I msorty I don't think I can reply to all at once 😅 But I'll do my best to entertain your messages. There'll just be a delay

I've experienced a turning page in my life recently. I took the whole week to reset, and in that time I've learned that I needed to stop myself from connecting with people. I was hoping to start fresh. Semi-clingy, would want to talk frequently. I'll keep it in check, but if that's something you like in a friend that's me.

If you're experiencing something similar, let's talk about it. Experiences are better when shared, for celebrations are doubled and misery halved.

About me:

- 28 years old, constantly making mistakes and learning

- Single

- Working, for a real estate company in Marketing. I can yap your ear off about that

- Lives around Sampaloc area, near SM Sta Mesa. Just in case you'd like to catch a coffee or dinner. I'll treat you when the blessings are abundant or we need to celebrate our milestones

- From the big 4, so expect conyo convos hehe But I can speak in Tagalog if you'd prefer

- Both kanal and Aircon humor. Honestly, I might be leaning more on kanal HAHAHA

- Hopeless romantic, so expect some banats or senti moments. Pero baka vibes mo rin naman so go lang HAHAHA

About you:

- Around my age is fine, big age gaps is fine, NO MINORS

- Single or taken, as long as your partner knows of us. You can even invite them on dates, I'll be the third wheel hehe

- Studying or working, doesn't matter. Let's just talk about each other's days

- Lives around my area as well, or even Quezon City. We don't have to meet right away, but having that option is nice

I can send photos if you'd want to know how I'd look like. I know looks aren't everything, but I want to at least get that out of the way already

Just broke up with my gf of 5 years

She's a writer. She loves to share her work with me. I'm not a reader, at all. But in the five years we've been together, I didn't put in the effort to even enjoy her writing.

I know I'm mostly at fault. I just need reassurance to know that I'll be okay. That I can still learn how to love reading, and it's for the better of me.

I don't know what to do, frankly. I feel so alone.
