Pretty fantastic little light. Just got it so need to give it time for a full review but nice little light. One thing I am unsure of is how the crane plug plugs into the back. Kind of loose? Maybe I plugged it in wrong? Still figuring out the wire and how to place it. Anyways, just waiting on the RC2 to get here.
This was shot with a R5, RF100-500 F4.5-7.1 L IS USM. Using a Polar Pro 2-5 stop ND filter, 1/500s, ISO 400, f7.1 at 500mm, ND 2. I realize it might seem weird to have a ND filter and raise the ISO but this was very much run and gun shooting with wacky lighting outside. While it looks pretty clean, as you zoom in close it gets slightly blurry. To me it looks like motion blur. The drone was on descent and going about as fast as dude in a parachute (nothing crazy). I thought 1/500s would be fast enough, but now I’m thinking I need to remove the ND filter, and go 1/2000 or something? Thoughts?
This has been a pretty fun project. I was super curious to see if Benelli parts would actually go on AND work. These things are pretty to spec it seems. So far the receiver is MAC, barrel is Black River Manufacturing (non-ported). Everything else is Benelli. Stock, recoil tube (and internals), trigger assembly, gas pistons, bolt, front sling loop, rear sight, pic rail, mag tube. Pretty cool. I’m only 400 rounds of Winchester military buckshot and no issues. It even shoots my cheap 1145 fps birdshot. I’m pretty impressed. And before anybody says “you should have just bought a Benelli”, I did this to satisfy my own curiosity haha. Bought the parts used and much cheaper than buying a new Benelli.
I’m doing a bunch of research on all these shotguns as I’m new to them, especially “tactical” style ones. Currently I have a card on my gun with the intent of getting more to change out as needed. However, I’m curious from those of you who use a hard carrier, what are the benefits. Pros and cons of both are what I’m looking for. Thanks guys!
I have the sling attachment points on the left side of the tube, left side of the stock. I’m right handed so I figured that would be best. Is that how it’s done? Or should I have the front sling mount on the bottom of the tube like it was from factory? Thanks.
Kind of a mashup of all the brands. We’ve got Criterion, Centurion Arms, LMT, Knights Armament, Colt, Silencerco, Forward Control Designs, Vortex, Harris. It was fun to piece together. I thank Centurion Arms every day for bringing back the Mk11 rail. Most AR10 rails are butt ugly.
I’m building a Mk11 Mod 0 look alike. Centurion upper receiver and rail, LMT lower receiver, etc. I’m looking at a Craddock Mk11 barrel and probably the Griffin can. I know the KMW pod lock was used with the Harris bipod but which version? Was it the longer one or the shorter one? Also, for the A2 grip, was it just a standard A2 or one of the Colt fatty A2 grips? I’ve got a few of those coming from Wet Worx. Thanks.
