Time to chop and prop?

Had gnarly fungus gnats - found the problem. My pothos was in too large of a pot - and I found root rot.

Is the best course of action to chop and prop? Are any of these able to be put back into soil if I take some of the rot off? Some of them look like the main root is rotted even if the secondary ones are not and I’m assuming that is a problem.

I also lost this guy from his stem while cleaning the roots 💔

Did I kill frank? 🥺

I chopped him on August 6th, as he was leaning quite bad.

Second photo is before the chop - I don’t have close ups of the leaves but you can tell from that photo that a lot of this was not there before. Last photo is farther distance today where you can see the spots compared to before chop

Is this fertilizer burn? Pests? Is he just over me f’n with him at this point?

He didn’t have root rot when I repotted after chopping (no roots lost) and I waited to fertilize until the second watering (recently)

Is there anything I can do to help? Are these leaves just this way now? I am already so sad about how bad he was leaning from my neglect and how much I had to chop off, and I was planning on trying to notch him to help more branches and now I’m unsure where to go / what to do.

Any help / advice is appreciated!

Is this setup ok for now?

Cut the top of my fiddle leaf fig and got this light (temporarily?) to help support the new growth. Did I stake to help straighten ok? Would this light work for awhile or should I get something bigger/better?

Bugs or something else?

I can’t necessarily see anything moving but noticed all these little white dot looking things on the front of the leaves and a few white specks on the back of a few leaves - also one leaf has some black spots ? Fungus?

New to the party 💕

My husband brought me home this beauty last night and I wanted to know if I should water it or leave it alone for a few days, if I should repot, and if being under a grow light or my SSE window is better? I have a bamboo stick I plan on putting in it to help with climbing / etc. I just want to know the best way to get the vibrant variegated leaves 🤩 I will be repotting in in a mix of indoor potting soil, perlite and orchard bark - will that be fine?

Thanks in advance for any tips and tricks you may have!

Husband came home with new babies for me 😍

He brought home these two Thai cons for me last night, I have them sitting in my window today and I have not watered them yet as I wanted to change out the soil - I’m assuming I should go up a size for the nursery pot it is in? And how do I go about removing them from their current homes without hurting the roots that are coming out? Also what do I do (if anything) for the one with the browning stems? When do i fertilize them for the first time? And if i wanted to move them to my setup with grow lights, would that be ok?

Chopped my baby - sad but excited for potential

Ok so my baby has been with me since I bought my house in late ‘21, my cat peed in the soil once and I lost a ton of leaves - I was able to save it and it grew to 9’ with tons of neglect (never fertilized, rarely remembered to water, forgot to empty tray after watering, etc). It started leaning heavily due to my neglect of shaking and it would have been too tall for my ceiling once straightened out.

I ended up chopping 32” off of him, and created two new cuttings that I have in water and will place in a better location tomorrow.

My question is, even with this newer and sturdier stake, the tree still has quite the lean, you can tell on the photo with my hand, I am trying to straighten it out more - I don’t want to tie it tightly with the twine and hurt the tree, is it good enough as is for now and I readjust as I see it getting more stable?

How long do I have to wait to try notching some spots in him to help promote leaves in bare places? Can I do 2 notches at a time?

If I plan on moving him in front of a SSE window, what is the best course of action as far as how often to fertilize, how much water each time, what am I looking for to make sure I didn’t shock the heck out of him? And if I decide to put him on a windowless wall with grow lights, would that be ok instead?

(Last photo before the chop 🥲)

TIA!

Fiddle leaf fig questions

My baby is about 5 years old, it was in the nursery upstairs for most of its life with me, but recently (as you can tell) it got way too tall and started to lean very badly. I have a makeshift structure to keep it sturdy for now - I am planning on getting a longer and wider stake for better support and actually using Velcro to keep it where I want it.

How would I promote branching out in the best way without shocking the plant and without creating an even bigger imbalance? Do I just need to suck it up and prune the top of the plant already?

Any other tips you can give me to make Frank the happiest little figgy boy he can be would be greatly appreciated!
