Hot take, all defenders should have the same scope.

Defense has always been a shitshow when it comes to balancing. Most of the highest pick rate defenders have had the acog or the 1.5. Lets just start when the 1.5 was added, the highest pick rate ops were the operators that had the 1.5 including the dreaded mpx 1.5. Operators like warden, doc, rook kapkan, lesion were mostly picked because of there 1.5. So their solution was to do the exact same thing with a slightly worse scope the 2.5. Same issue, so they removed it from all smgs. Now everyone is playing DMRs and TSCGs, when is the cycle going to end?

The cycle will end when all defenders get the same scope! Balancing around a scope is not siege. People will always pick the operator if there is a wide discrepancy in lethality, what do I mean? for example, melusi's gadget is one of the best in the game, however she has a low pick rate, when you look at an operator like warden, or Tub their pickrates are super high with situational gadget uses(Tubs gadget is pretty good but its still situational). This game is supposed to be gadget first, but when we look at pickrates, it's reflective of whoever has a scope on their gun or the smg12. When will we realize it's not a DMR/Slug shotty issue, its a scope issue.

"2.5 is fun" I agree, and wouldn't be apposed to the 2.5 as long as it wasn't given to certain defenders and withdrawn from others; if everyone had acogs obviously the defender WR would skyrocket so they would have to buff all attackers guns somehow. But I still think all defenders should just have a 1.0.

Scopes shouldn't be used as a balancing tool, period.

They should rework the mountain in the middle to be accessible on island.

They should rework the mountain in the middle to be accessible because it would add a central piece of map control like old island had with labs.

They should rework the mountain turning it into a military base, it should have multiple high value spawns, weapon spawns, armor spawns, with different vault rooms and maybe even a boss.

REASONS:

  1. Bring back a central piece of map control that would dictate the flow of the raid. Old island was so much more fun because of the map layout forcing you to cross labs, which would allow for really fun pvp at labs. You were either forced to fight at labs, and attempt to gain that map control, or you were forced to be at a disadvantage if you were to get into pvp with someone that had that map control; this led to really fun, scrappy gunfights where positioning, timing, and aim would be the deciding factors, you couldn't just run away.
So they should bring this back and incentivize the players to fight over a key piece of map control or be forced to play at a disadvantage.

  2. Stop rewarding people who take a gunfight, start losing, and loop around the entire map and extract. The reason the mountain in the middle would stop this is by cutting of super long rotates and space in-between POIs, forcing the person running to have to fight the guys at the top.

  3. Bring back really fun PVP where you might be fighting 4+ teams, high risk, high reward. Island right now is super stale when it comes to pvp. You either dont find any pvp or the PVP is short, 2 dimensional, and easy to scurry away from. With a central location with really good loot, and map control: fighting players, and winning will feel super rewarding.

"Well people would just camp up there with an awm", yes this could happen, however, the people who win the fight up there should have a vantage point and control pvp throughout the raid, and if you dont want to push the mountain, your going to need to make sure your positioning is good, and you arent a sitting duck in the open. Yes if they do this they will need to make sure you cannot see the entire map. Also, at the same time you will still be able to fight back as long as you are in cover.

TLDR: adding a military base with plenty spoils in the middle will allow for fun pvp and a strong power position. Reintroducing a chokepoint similar to old islands labs will add a central pvp spot and strong map control allowing for great rewards and forcing players to either play for or play around this position.

legacy Tabor might be the nail in the coffin for this game.

The game does not have the playerbase to split into two. At off hours the game only gets 1.6k players across all platforms, divide that into regions and split it in two that's not enough people to consistantly fill a lobby.

Maybe if Tabor releases really good updates and fixxes bugs they can get some players back. But with the state of the economy and VR as a whole, even the best updates might not fix the declining player count.

With a new map coming out that will stretch the playerbase anymore.

A band aid fixes might be to put Matka underground into the matka map itself like they originally wanted to do. However IDK if quest 2-3 could handle that without proper optimization.

dear Scott please sell your game.

This game has so much potential, the atmosphere is the best of any VR game I have played. The artwork is incredible IMO and it feels real. I think the only reason people even play Tabor over *the other well known VR extraction shooter* is solely the atmosphere, this game feels real, the guns feel real and not plastic. However, this game is riddled with bugs head to toe and instead of fixing these bugs they release more DLC content to milk the player base. As someone with FF even I am getting fed up with the amount of DLCs. Yes VR games are proned to issues, but when you look at other studios with LESS people, they still have less bugs. And I think the root of all the issues is the greedy, egotistical, whiner at the top; its clear he is not utilizing the resources he has: CWS is one of the biggest dev teams in VR yet their game doesnt really get any new content and the bugs are insane it's obvious the priority's are fucked(New DLCs, collabs and skins over fresh content(new maps, map/weapon balancing, new game mechs.)) and that will cause the demise of this game. He will milk the player base dry. Let someone else take charge of the games direction, it's clear you wont change.

Does this task normally come up or is it an event?

I am a returning player, and I have never done/seen this task. Is it a limited event where you have to do or find the silver badges quickly or no?

This is not a promising ranked distribution...

People said ranked 2.0 was easy, ranked 3.0 is looking pretty friggen easy, with an insane amount of people in emerald.

There could be an issue with gathering data but this is from r6 tracker which is super reliable.

Insane amount of emeralds already, and most of those ranks will go up, there might be a record breaking amount of champs.

This is actually gonna piss me off.

I finished emerald 4, my friends finished em 3-1. Everyone else will end up around em3 and I will end up plat 3 so when I play with them we will be in emerald lobbies but I will be in play still.

Yes it's a skill issue, but its annoying that im going to be an entire rank away from them because i ended 1-2 divisions away from them. The only way to rank up is to pretty much to solo queue so I'm in plat lobbies which is not fun.

I hit em2 this season too, I just finished em4

Hot take, I actually think ranked 3.0 will be easier*

*Only for small stacks, solo-duo queue.
The reason I think this is because with placement matches you only need to play 5 games to get to your skill instead of atleast like 60 games. And the people that you are playing with should be around your skill level(teamates and enemys). So, if you play well it should have a greater effect because the games skill level should be equal. For high champ IDK, but for gold-diamond it actually might be better for solo queue players.
