After today's violence against protestors we should ask resignation of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah

It makes my blood boil seeing the illegal manner in which Delhi Police is acting, they are assaulting protestors on camera, keeping women protestors detained till late night and leaving them far away from city. While all rules related to not assembling is applied against protestors, RW goons are given free pass and police is not even pretending to care when protestors are assaulted in front of them. Narendra Modi gets cultural shock when a 15 year old girl abuses him but doesn't even bat an eyelid when goons supporting him slap and assaults women protestors in the middle of street. There are videos circulating online showing Police beating people mercilessly inside bus, presumably transporting detained protestors. Instead of asking resignation of a mere career IAS acting, we should ask resignation of the real culprits - Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.

They can't shut the whole city and detain everyone everyday, we should come out in even bigger numbers and ask for resignation for the people actually responsible. And ofc resignation is just the first step, final goal should be to improve the whole election process.

Archive of the Police Brutality Against Students Protesting in India

On Monday, students protesting in India took out a protest march to the country's parliament after their demands were ignored for more than a month. Thousands of students and other citizens joined these protests but were met by extreme police brutality. Pellet guns were used by security forces, many students were beaten with sticks, etc.

This is an archive created by some people to document the instances of police brutality against the Indian protestors.

Runaway live-in couple can bring ‘bad name’ to family, says court, denies protection

How can a constitutional court in 2026 make such a feudal statement? State and judiciary only protects the rich and powerful but never the weak.
