What exactly did the aliens do to the people inside the tripod?

In the movie we see people getting pulled into the tripod, a fleshy red membrane of sorts, the spraying scene (obviously they are after blood). In one scene we also see a guy getting dropped onto the ground and getting his blood sucked (I presume it's for the aliens to feed).

The mechanism of this ,,harvest" is a big unknown. I've seen people making theories of how it works - from blenders to acid.

If the people were getting blended then what about the cloths? The bones? In the movie they were spraying blood and since you cannot spray meat (and we also saw the dead cows - meat got left behind) it doesn't make sense for the aliens to blend the people....

I personally think that victims get their blood sucked and then the body gets either melted or thrown away (could that explain the bodies in the river scene?).

What is your take on this?

How do you spread faith/evangelize?

Lately I've been thinking about how to effectively spread faith. Whenever I try to spark up conversation with someone it most often leads to them changing the topic or not caring at all.

When I see people with signs and microphones screaming at pedestrians I cringe - this is not the way...I like the way Cliffe Knechtle does it, offers conversations and debates with whoever wants to..

I've been thinking about passive methods - clothing, perhaps sticker on a car (sometimes I see that).

I live in a very secular country (Czech republic) which has a church or a cross at every turn so it's not like people don't know about Christ, they just don't care.

But I cannot shake the feeling that there has to be a way for people to somehow come to God, I know it's not in my power to make someone believe but how do you want to strike up a conversation with someone without it sounding like Jehovas witness.... that's repulsive.

I've read how different churches approach this and the Roman Catholic church condemns aggressive evangelization (microphones, screaming etc.), they claim it's best to act the faith. I like that a lot.

Any suggestions?

How I view Hell

I've been thinking about it lately. There's various views - from eternal torture to annihilation. I think both have scriptural backing.

Imagine at the end of the days when all people see God in His glory and stand before Him. The fullfilment of what He promised - eternal life, no more death or suffering, only to be thrown away like garbage - after all that is what they though it would be like. Darkness...nothing...forever...

I asked people what they think comes after death, they often say that you will cease to exist like before you were born.

Imagine for a second the realization that it did not have to be like that and the only thing they needed to avoid it was believe in who God is - the way, the truth and the life.

That's what I feel is the scariest thing about it - rejecting God's love....rejecting mercy...forever away from Him...

I debated a muslim

A muslim tried to sway me to join Islam. We got into a debate.

His arguments were:

- God cannot become a man

- Jesus was just a prophet who was spared from the crucifiction

- Quran is fullfilment of Old and New Testament

Obviously all of these are laughable. By historical accounts, theology and even simple critical thinking.

But it got me thinking about Islam - there's around 2 bilion of them (of course most of these will be probably just cultural muslims similar to cultural Christians).

The dynamic of faith is interesting. We can have faith into good or bad things. Bible says Christ is the only way to salvation. Some Christian churches such as the Roman Catholic church claim that people can get to heaven without believing in Christ (not being oblivious mind you - straight up rejection type of deal). I find that concerning.

I'll be honest - I hope everybody gets saved but the truth is that God's hand is extended and now it is people's choice to take it or not.....seems to me most don't take it, let's pray for us all.....

Christians must unite else we will crumble

I live in Czech Republic and the situation here is awful at best. Historically Roman Catholic church has already had a big following here. Nowadays only about 5% of population identify as Christian - of those 5% most take it as cultural thing.

I was born into a Catholic family but became Protestant (you know how it goes...). I still think of Roman Catholics as saved since anyone who belives in Jesus Christ is under grace.

We need to unite, I know that there are differences between denominations but still - WE ALL SERVE ONE LORD.

The LGBTQ agenda has been destroying minds and hearts so long, it is proclaiming love while destroying marriages and sanctity of what is holy and good. Many christians have fallen for it and it is sad to see.

I sincerely believe that we need to unite. While I dissagree with many aspects of Catholicism Pope Leo speaks a lot of wisdom. Pope Francis also - the way he navigated lgbt issues were missinterpreted by many.

I hope for a future but what can you do when people straight up think of themselves as animals just having a blast before this suppossed nothingness comes.....Jesus offers eternal life but it is as though people do not care about that.

Please pray for all people - for everyone on this planet. We are all God´s creation and it should be our duty as christians to show people that God is a Father and He is calling His children. Be loving, merciful, honest and strong.

Satan is a deceiver, one of his best moves was that he made people forget that he exists.

Stay strong and pray that God renews the fire in our hearts that calls for His name.

Message to doubters like me

I've been struggling with stories such as Noah's flood, evolution etc.

The thing that made me finally open my eyes is the simple fact that with God all things are possible. He can do anything.

Evolution may be just another mechanism like gravity.

There's Christians out there who will try to force their own interpretations and make you feel crazy - do not bother with them.

The facts are - God created everything, He does love us and Jesus is the way. Do not let things such as YEC vs OEC or anything else keep you from the love of God.

B&t Usw-g + G34 accuracy issues

Hello everyone. I'm getting very good groups at 30 yards but at 55 the groups spread out a lot (50cm/25 inches or so).

The gun is installed correctly and I even tried G19x with the same result.

The optic is not the issue. I am using a foregrip....could it be that? One hand on the Glock, the other on the foregrip and then the stock - 3 points of contact but causing twisting?

I live in Czech republic - one of the most atheist countries in the world.

The situation here is such that growing up I had 0 Christian friends.

I come from a Roman Catholic background but switched to a Protestant church (altough I still agree with some Rc doctrines).

My country went through bloody christian wars, forced recatholization, communism (persecution of religion in general). I do not wonder why people don't want anything to do with ,,religion" anymore....but that is not the same as Christ.

Orthodox church in my country is sponzoring Russian war in Ukraine so that recently put even more bad light on Christianity (along the LGBTQ issues...the largest protestant church in my country crumbled and started being lgbtq affirming ....gay marriage and all....)

I wish I had some Christian friends I could meet up with, our church is mostly old people. My dad says in their Catholic church the attendance is around 12 people....

My wife is Christian so I'm very glad I can talk about faith with her.

Those of you who do have believing friends be glad......it is lonely .....most of my family doesn't believe either, those who do are lukewarm (but I'm not the judge....I have my own sins..)

The future looks bleak.....I try to stay positive and I know there are people like me out there, not long ago I saw someone with Jesus is king sticker on their car and that put a smile on my face.

I wish people would give God a chance.....

The New Testament doesn't provide much about this topic - it is mostly silent on the issue of polygamy.

The most practical option seems to be the one by Roman Catholic church - the man should choose only one wife (usually the first provided she agrees) and financially provide for the others.

So the concept is that the marriage before becoming Christian is a natural one (based upon 1 Corinthians 7:15 where Paul adresses the issue of non believer divorcing a believer) and thus it is not treated as a ,, sacramental " or christian marriage.

Other options I've seen are missionaries saying that the marriage is valid (which I don't agree with) or Mike Winger's famous continuous breaking the marriage by ,, commiting adultery over and over again"

Some pastors I've seen straight up say they do not know like John Piper.

It's interesting topic seeing as it is still happening today with people coming in from cultures where polygamy is still practiced.

Personally I think that whatever happened before becoming Christian is forgotten and if a spouse divorces you because of it (Pauline privilige) the convert may enter into a marriage with another Christian.

Why don't I see more people talk about this one? I bough it at 0.9 and sold at 1.6 thinking how cool it is and it went over 5 in matter of a month.

They announced working with Poet and presumably Nvidia and Apple....probably going big....

Imagine the number of children that could've lived but people decided to just end them so they could live more comfortably - of that isn't a child sacrifice I don't know what is.

People spit on God and this world so much but so much of the evil that happens every day is comitted by humans.

Jesus warned people not to stop children from coming to Him - people today make sure those kids don't even get to live.

I personally think that allowing abortion is one of the best examples of how twisted can humans be - you allow people to kill their babies .....

When Jesus said that people would become cold when it comes to love - when even mother goes and kills her baby - how could someone do it? It's so wrong.

There are times when I can't wait for Jesus to stop this world and take the reigns.....people are crazy...
