Hey
I’m not long passed my test now (around 4 months) and I must say I’ve never been better when it comes to driving
That doesn’t mean my test was perfect
I got 10 driving faults
3 for hesitation
3 for steering (most likely crossing hands)
2 for following distance
1 for moving off
And 1 for my reverse park control
Now do I make those same mistakes in day to day driving- not really
Yes I prefer to drive one handed and not 10 to 2 or whatever
I occasionally hesitate but only if it’s real busy
My parking is decent
The only thing that caused me to have such a bad test was straight nervousness
I hit the curb while pulling out of a junction with 5 minutes left on my test, I really thought i messed it up
There was so many moments that I just wanted to get out and quit
But I didn’t and I passed first time
So to anyone who is nervous just remember I messed up really bad when trying my hardest
Just try not to make as many fuck ups as me and not make any dangerous ones
A driving test is honestly the hardest but shortest part of your journey in getting a license
I was perfectly normal up until I got out of the test centre and realised I had to be perfect for the next 35-40 mins
Honestly just try your best and make sure you keep at it even if u think you’ve failed
