Joe Lacob on the Warriors drafting Yaxel Lendeborg

“We got a great player. We are so excited about it. The draft is a… look, it’s hard. There’s 29 other teams all competing for a limited amount of talent out there, great talent. I’m very fired up. It couldn’t have gone any better for us. We got the guy we were looking to get. I think he’s a game changer. Jimmy is going to love playing with him. I think this guy is just fantastic. Yaxel Lendeborg is his name. So good day in Warriors history, mark my words.”

[ShamsCharania]Golden State's Al Horford is declining his player option and intends to sign a new two-year, $14 million deal to stay with the Warriors, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Horford, 40, becomes only the 13th player in NBA history to reach 20 seasons.

The Warriors and Horford's longtime agent, Jason Glushon, landed on the new deal Thursday to bring the big man back to the Bay Area.

Draymond Green reflects on punching Jordan Poole: "For five seconds, I forgot where I was"

"I've had a bunch of situations like that growing up. Sometimes I was the guy who get hit, sometimes I wasn't. Regardless, we move on. That's how I've always approached it”

“So when that situation happened, I'm like, all right, cool. We move on. And then when we couldn't, I was like, huh?”

“For a while, it made me think, man, this dude nothing like me. Because when those things happen, you just move on”

“But it taught me so much. It taught me, you're right, he may not be like you. He ain't from where you from. The things you went through, the way you had to come up, he may not have came up like that”

“For that five seconds, I forgot where I was at because I immediately went to what I know. But what you know don't really work here”

“Everybody says, ‘Oh man, but you was 10 years in. You should know better.’ Still learning nine years in”

“It's lessons like that that ultimately make me who I am to this day because, man, I fckd that up”

Steve Kerr: “I’m thrilled to be back. Couldn’t be more excited to continue on this job My wife said something. She said, ‘You might coach again some day but you’ll never coach the Warriors again.’ And that was really meaningful to me because I love this team. I love our players.
