First time attempting values study. Thought?

After coming to the conclusion that I can't draw at all, I decided to cave and begin learning fundamentals. I sketched there from statues at a museum. I spent five-ish minutes on the one on right and about half an hour for the second one.

Any alternatives to DeviantArt?

Back when I was in school (2017 and before), I was perpetually on DeviantArt. I've since moved on to college, grad school and work. It seems that the site is now just AI slop and bots. Is there any site out there that is like the good ol' days of DA? Reddit just does not give the same spark that I had on DA back then. (Not that I'm going to stop posting on Reddit, but I just miss the collaborative and social art scene that old DA had).

Yupo paper sucks!

I bought one of those tiny Yupo (from Legion Paper) pads because it was only 2.30 at Blick. I just tried to working with it and holy molly is it impossible to work with! Forget layering, the moment you apply water again everything lifts. Want to mix colors? Won't work. The paint just goes wherever it wants to go. I'm never using this 'paper' again.
