Hello, I’m a Chemistry Major, who just finished his sophomore year, and I’ve recently developed a passion for Medicine. I currently have a 3.1 gpa and no clinical hours or extracurricular activities of PreMeds, only real thing I do is being a hospice volunteer at a local hospital, but I have no clue if that counts. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get in the right path, especially for someone who’s willing to start this journey as late as a 20 year old college sophomore lmao, but I want to know and do whatever it takes to be a Pre Med here on out, and I’m also taking an extra college year to hopefully have more time to better my GPA. Any thoughts on what I could do next?
I’m a Chemistry major and apparently my major fulfills a lot of prerequisite of my city’s Pharmacy Schools. I also got into my college’s Pre Health Program, is getting into Pharmacy School post bachelor’s still a thing? Or do you have to always start fresh outta high school.
Is it possible to do a bachelor’s in Chemistry and then do a Master’s or PhD in Physics?
What’s the genuine difference between Chemistry and BioChemistry in CCNY? Is Biochemistry like Chemistry with a few more Bio classes? Or is Chemsitry more well rounded cuz it’s Chemistry as a whole and not bio specific? Can someone help clear that out?
Is it just me, or compared to Regular Chemistry, Biochem seems to have far more women than men. I been seeing this a lot but I wanted to know if this really the case? Chemistry seems to be pretty neutral as far as I know, but biochem definitely has more women than men in the field.

Exactly what happens if you do go beyond 180 credits? From what I hear FAFSA still does 12 semesters and Tap does 8 and with SEEK students, 10 semesters. But say you somehow manage to go beyond 180 attempted credits, whether it may be a rough first years but then made a comeback latter years, or just you stay a moderately okay student who failed 2-3 classes, but regardless, you’re not on academic probation, BUT you still go beyond 180 credits by like 10-20 credits within FASFA and TAP’s semester time limit. What happens? Can you no longer graduate then?
I’m deciding to pursue a Physics major, specifically Applied Physics, and my main reason for this is largely because pursuing Grove School of Engineering seems like a lost cause at this point, and lot of the classes I’ve been doing at this point can still transition to a Physics major, my main question is that is this the right call or will this just make things worse? While I’ve taken physics classes before, it’s My main thing is that I feel like I’m making a mistake not because I don’t hate the major but moreso it feels like a degree that I won’t ever be able to get a job in with the modern job market. I just don’t know what to do anymore, it honestly just feels like I should just give up on STEM entirely.
I’m majoring in Physics with a concentration of Applied Physics, but I’m also minoring in both Economics and Philosophy. I’ve been told Physics as a major is pretty bad in the job market, so would taking these minors help me or is taking them completely pointless
Anyone have these classes specifically, ENGL 22000 and ENGL 15500. I only need 2 more classes to fill out my General Ed requirements, one for U.S. History, and one for Creative Expression, and conveniently enough both these English classes cover them so I’m taking them both this semester and trying to fully finish my General Ed requirements. My main question is what’s these classes like, if you’ve have them before? Are they easy to breeze through or will I end up struggling to even pass them?
I just started UTest today, and after doing a couple surveys, is that it? Do I know have to wait until they call me back for further testing or not? And if so otherwise the app is basically a ghost town?
Anybody got this professor for the Fall? If so, what’s he like, I haven’t found any rating of him in Ratemyprofessor or anything like that. Is he new?
Now obviously Calc 2 is an extremely hard class but does ANY CUNY offer this. Only really asking because UBuff the SUNY college does offer Calc 2 for the winter.
I know the requirements for Grove are a 2.7 GPA or above and Calculus 1 and 2 along with Physics 207 with a grade of C or above. But assuming once you do all this, do they really accept you or is it much more complicated?
I’m a CCNY student and this semester has lowkey been horrible for me I don’t think my mental state has ever hit a low point like this before. For this math class, the only grade requirements are 60% main 3 class exams & 40% final exam. And like the homework itself only gives you extra points on the main exam grades. They’re not a grade themselves. I wanted to drop out but I thought the Deadline was April 15th and not April 13th. I didn’t want to fail so I went the WU route so I haven’t done any of the 3 exams nor the final exam, and I only did some of the homework. So is it possible for me to get a WU grade for this?
I need to retake Math 201 but it’s going to be my 3rd time so what do I do since schedule builder won’t let me sign in
I’m a 20 year old college student desperate for a part time job. Never had a legitimate job before in my life so no real experience. Need help
What are some Asynchronous Summer Courses that could be taken during the summer, mainly as electives and to get free credits to overall better my gpa?
