12 year old soft coated wheaten terrier
F normally 45lbs

Not diagnosed for at least a month. Then diagnosed with Erlichiosis - similar to Lyme disease.

Has been on doxycycline for over 2 weeks and is getting worse. Loss of appetite, no energy, couldn’t even stand up today at all. Too weak.
Had a follow up blood test last week. Vet said the dozy is working and the numbers are going down (or whatever he said about the disease) but that anemia numbers rose. Well she’s barely eating.
He said since she’s not vomiting to continue with the doxycycline and to force feed her. So I tried with a syringe tonight. I made plain chicken and rice with carrots and peas and puréed it with beef broth. She got a few tablespoons down.

We have to go to my niece’s wedding OVERSEAS leaving this weekend for a whole week. We have 2 sisters who will stay with her at our house and they work at a dog shelter and are very capable.

My husband is convinced she’s dying. I said she’s just suffering.

Oh and I gave her a gabapentin tonight but she hasn’t had it since the first few days.
I’m so worried and so upset.
Any advice would be helpful.

I have a dainty tennis bracelet that’s always been too big. It’s 7” and it would fit much better at 6.5”. How much would it cost to have it shortened? Should I let the jeweler keep the extra ½ “ as a form of payment? The entire bracelet is 1ct and it’s 14k white gold about 20 years old.

After reading these posts for months and knowing that I used to turn to food when sad, tired, upset, etc… I’m wondering how many people in glp1 are also going to therapy for their food related issues.

These meds are amazing and I finally feel like myself again, but I doubt I will be on them the rest of my life.

A relative of mine is on them and still will find ways to eat a whole loaf of bread and then suffer the consequences. Her relationship with food is complicated and super unhealthy. She will never see a therapist.

I don’t think going to therapy will always solve everyone’s issues, especially since there seems to be a lack of good therapists out there. But has anyone tried? If so, has it helped and would you recommend it?

I know if I post this on one of the diamond sub Reddit I will get a majority of people saying brilliant cut. I feel there are more professionals here that can give me a more educated opinion on old European cuts versus brilliant cut diamonds. I am drawn toward OEC’s, but I’ve never seen one in person. All I know is that my brilliant cut diamond doesn’t appeal to me very much.
Why do you prefer one over the other? What are your reasons?
