Hospital said they are doing shirodkar but actually did McDonald stitch

My mind is blown guys. The doctor told me on the day they only do shirodkhar so in my head I’m thinking ok my baby is getting the best possible help. I asked the hospital now what did they actually do and they are saying McDonald?! They also said I was 2.1 when they scanned but the next morning when I went for the surgery it was 1.5? This is news to me. Isn’t that drastic for such a short time? I feel like they just did the stitch for show and already knew they can’t save her. And here I am stressing thinking I need TAC but it’s a 12-18month wait and I’m still not on the waiting list. If I get pregnant next year and have the shirodkar at 12-14 weeks I might actually have a chance right? I feel like they took the mick made a bad decision not to do it when it was most effective then panicked and did a pointless stitch lower down instead of higher up. I’m scared they’ll take so long to give me a TAC appointment I don’t know if I’m being reckless but I’m so desperate for a living baby I’ve been pregnant 3 times in 1.5 years is it bad if I still haven’t had a TAC I go ahead with my transfer? I’m talking like February March next year so it will be a long time yet

Edit: sorry I have already given birth at 20 weeks 3 days stitch was placed at 18 weeks 6 days. My daughter was alive for 1 hour

Solo travel F32 Muslim

I am thinking of booking a 2 day trip to Barcelona and travel alone 21st September. Don’t have a set plan but wanted to go to Montserrat for sure. I have been like 12 years ago and someone did try to rob me 🥴 however I wasn’t alone then. How safe will I be now? Any tips? I am alone most of the time so I figured why not be alone in Barcelona. I am grieving and just want to get out and do something. I don’t know if I will actually enjoy it or let my anxiety take over but I just want to live my life and see the world. My visit years ago I actually organised it all and was in charge of navigating etc but I’m not the confident person I once was.

Advised not to have a TAC after two losses..

Hi everyone really confused now and at a loss. After two losses at 20 weeks 3 days in one year I spoke to a specialist in this procedure and he advised against it as he doesn’t think I need it.

My last pregnancy a transvaginal cerclage was placed at 19 weeks after cervical length shortened to 21mm with funnelling. 1 week later this failed and I gave birth. My first pregnancy cervical length was not measured but I expect my cervix was weak then also.

He thinks if it is placed at 12-14 weeks and placed very high by someone skilled I should be able to carry if not full term at least long enough. He thinks my cervix was already weak at the point of cerclage and bacteria may have already been in the womb.

I am at a loss I have two embryos meaning one more chance at a transfer I’m already scared this last transfer won’t work and if it does do I really take such a big risk and possibly lose another baby?

He said if I have the TAC and I do go in to early labour I need to have a mini c section, if I have the TVC they can take it out and I can give birth again like last time. I just want a living baby I am so tired of taking risks. What would you do?

Rescue Cerclage failed do I try again?

I gave birth last year at 20 weeks, my most recent pregnancy I asked for a cerclage but my concerns were dismissed as they felt there was no reason for it as they didn’t monitor my cervical length it could be any reason why I gave birth then. With this pregnancy at 19 weeks they saw my cervical length shortened to 21mm with funelling and performed rescue Cerclage the following day. However I still gave birth again at 20 weeks. I realise now to have a TAC on the NHS will take a long time I am still waiting for my GP to refer me to the hospital and paying privately is too expensive. What do I do? I wanted to go for my last embryo transfer in 6 months but do I dare get pregnant again without the TAC? Will a transvaginal cerclage at 12 weeks be enough? With my last pregnancy I was nearly 10cm dilated with the stitch when they finally took it out I don’t know what damage has been done they were in no rush to help me had me in the waiting room in labour for 3 hours until I start screaming the place down only then did they take me seriously took everything in me not to push. Please help I don’t know what to do.
