What we know so far about T.G, a short-lived Korean cyber idol group
T.G was a mixed Korean cyber idol group active between 2000 and 2003. The group had 3 members: Rigina, Iguma, and Ajan. Rigina (Park Eun Hee) was the first member to "debut" as a real person. Iguma and Ajan were later portrayed by real people — Ahn Myung Ha and Choi Yongho.
Even though T.G was short-lived, most of what they produced and planned to release during their active years is now lost media. The group's talk show appearance, their webtoon, and the work Park Eun Hee did in China — both for T.G and for her own solo career — are either completely unreachable or only partially found.
So far, here's what we've managed to dig up (shout out to everyone else out there researching T.G too! and dearest user FriendlyTaro!)
Based on comments in the group's old Daum cafe and the site as archived on Wayback Machine, Park Eun Hee modeled for a boutique called CocoStory between 2010 and early 2016. (I think she might still be working there today, but that's not confirmed.)
I found a lot of evidence that the Cocostory website was redone in 2016, and noticed the shop changed hands once. There are also rumors that Park Eun Hee runs a restaurant, but we haven't been able to confirm that either. I'm trying to reach CocoStory directly, but I'm not getting any replies to my emails. Right now the most important thing is getting access to their model list and getting in touch with the owner.
While browsing through T.G's old site, I found 4 different magazine cover shoots labeled "eun." — one for a magazine called Hi Tech, and another that I think might be for one called Monday. These covers were shot in China during a promotional trip, but I haven't found any info online about them.
As for Choi Yongho — he was part of a group called SPIN before joining T.G, where he later performed live with the group in the 2000s. He was also one of the dancers in a dance crew called Friends. There are write-ups saying he danced for Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Jung Hyun, and Kim Wan Sun while he was with them. There are also rumors that he now runs a dance studio in Japan.
It's been hard to reach any of Friends' active members through social media, so unfortunately I haven't made much progress there.
I did manage to reach the two people credited with backing vocals on T.G's "Love Tonight":
Kim Hyosu said, unfortunately, that she doesn't have any info.
Kim Hyuna said she's changed her phone so many times that she's lost contact with the others.
I'll be adding Park Eun Hee's magazine shoots and her Cocostory modeling photos to the post — hopefully one day we can actually track the members down!!!
Right now, the lost media tied to the group includes:
● T.G's talk show appearance
● Most of T.G's webtoon
● Park Eun Hee's promotional work in China
● Park Eun Hee's solo career, which ended up getting cancelled
