I really wish someone would create a gta sims like game with the best components of both ( crime , but you can start a family, raise babies , go to college etc ) where we could actually get in a car and drive. Sims has been around for ages this is unacceptable
I have a long form channel but I also post almost just as many shorts because sometimes my long form videos don’t perform well. So I’ll make a short of the video & post that as well.
I’ve gained subscribers through shorts because my LF video could get 200 views, then I post a short and it’s 2k views.
but I’m wondering if I should stop shorts completely? Is it possibly hurting my channel and actually stunting my growth? Is it confusing the algorithm? Should I just take the L when a LF video doesn’t perform that well?
All price ranges are welcome, I’m on a budget right now but hopefully one day it won’t be a problem to get the best mic regardless of price.
I just need a list of options I can research. I currently use a lavalier mic very cheap from Amazon and I feel like my sound quality is one of the factors affecting my growth :/

So on the 23rd I bought a family pack of chicken breasts. I cooked 2, froze 2, and kept 2 in the fridge as soon as I came home. Grocery store is 5 mins from me. The sell by date is tomorrow the 28th.
I googled to make sure the refrigerated chicken was fine, it looked and smelled fresh, 0 signs of spoilage. But it also said raw chicken should only be in the fridge for 1-2 days at home. I completely forgot about this rule.
So when I told google I had it in the fridge for 4 days (from the 23rd to today) it said I should throw it away, it’s not safe to eat, and there is invisible bacteria like salmonella that can multiply to unsafe levels without changing the look or smell of the meat…
YouTube keeps making all these updates no one asked for but we still can’t block people. Especially as creators I find that inconsiderate and borderline dangerous…
So i got a new subscriber earlier this year, they started commenting on all my content, which was great and I would often reply & engage. Then one day out of nowhere, they commented something about a gruesome true crime case on my community post, that had nothing to do with my post or channel. This rubbed me the wrong way.
I don’t make videos about true crime at all, I make video essay style content about movies. They had also joined my patreon & followed me on twitter and have their picture as their pfp. Let’s just say they look mentally off. So I started feeling uncomfortable and “hid their channel” since that’s all we can do.
I know they keep commenting though because I still get comments but can’t see who it is or the comment so I know it’s them. I guess after a while of not getting a response, they decided to then share my video to their page yesterday 😩 so I got notified of this & my video is now on their page. Why should I have to keep seeing this person? A block button would fix all this!

What happened: for context I make video essay style content. I posted a video and it got 1k views and about 50 likes. But NO comment. This has happened to me several times. People are watching and liking but won’t actually comment despite me prompting them and doing all the tips and tricks in my video. Because the video wasn’t getting comments, YouTube basically buried it and stopped pushing it. Likes are not enough engagement.
So I made a community post asking my subs and whoever sees it, to do me a favor and please go leave a comment on the video. This was my first (and last) time doing this. No one ever commented. Not even 1 person…I wish I had a more engaged community. Ever since then I stopped making community posts completely since it’s f**k me apparently 🤣 but people will comment on a popular video in a sea of 100s of comments where the creator likely won’t even see it or respond.
I have 2k subs, and a few regulars that return my channel and comment sometimes. But I still feel like I’m not building a community yet, I’ve been advertising my discord and no one has joined except 2 creeps I ended up having to block.

The title says it all, I’ve struggled with safari taking up over 100gb of space on my phone and every time I “cleared history and website data” it made little to no difference. I was so frustrated and confused for years. Everyone just kept saying clear history and data…
but it wasn’t working because I was only clearing it for THAT DAY😭 it’s automatically on “today” for the clear timeframe. Yesterday I finally realized I needed to change it to “all history” not just today. Literally 100gb plus of space freed up on my phone! Finally
I also turned off my iCloud safari sync and deleted all data from that off my phone as well. Then turned it back on.

Okay so I have a completely separate patreon account I use to support other creators and my account AS the creator. I didn’t want to do the whole merged profile thing. So sometimes I’ll view my “creator account” with my “personal account” just to make sure it looks right to other people viewing my page.
I go on my creator page today (with the personal account) and it’s offering a 60% discount to join?? I never set up or authorized any discount? WTF?
I have a YouTube channel and made patreon for exclusive content, but I think I’m going to get rid of my free membership option. I only offered it because I saw other YouTubers doing the same.
I follow a channel that has 80k patreons!! Yes 80k. I thought they were clearing almost 1 mil a month. It turns out they only have 10k paid members (which is still crazy money) and the rest are FREE😭 mind you they don’t offer free content. Why are 70,000 people just lurking on their patreon?
It feels pointless and like people get comfortable being free members instead of being enticed to actually join a paid tier. I feel like getting rid of free memberships would create some FOMO maybe?
I won’t be offering free content there either (because the free content is my YouTube)

So I struggled for a while to find a free app to remove bg noise, it turns out YT offers one (YouTube create) BUT it removes too much noise, there’s no way to control how much it removes.
So it’ll remove my voice sometimes if I yell, laugh, or talk too loud in my video. I don’t have a good mic yet because a good one is too expensive for me right now, so I remove the background noise to improve audio quality.
TLDR: any free apps or websites I can use to remove BG noise that won’t cut out my voice if I yell, laugh or talk loudly at certain parts of the video?
So I have 2k subs, this channel has 60k subs, we both make the same type of content and they just copied my thumbnail!
We both make videos about movies, so the thumbnail is 2 characters from a movie in the exact same scene. There’s no way it’s a coincidence, because even the background is the same and I put the thumbnail together randomly, myself. They used the exact same photos in the exact same order.
I’ve commented on their channel before so I’m sure they know who I am, or even if they just found me through the algorithm (because we make the same content).
I would like them to change their thumbnail as I uploaded my video first. Can I copyright strike them for this? What’s the best way to go about this?

So this is kind of weird, when I first started my channel and barely had any subscribers (like less than 100 subs), I would post polls frequently and they would get 100s to 1000s of votes. I make videos about movies, so polls help me gauge what people wanna see. Sometimes I would just ask fun questions (like who is your favorite character etc)
Now I’m a year in, I have 2k subs, and my polls only get 2-3 votes! No exaggeration. Literally only 2-3 votes for the last 5 polls. My videos are still averaging anywhere between 500-10k views.
So I’m just confused, are people not seeing my polls? Are they just not choosing to engage? How can I see the analytics for community posts? Why would I get so many votes as a new channel and barely get any as I grow?
