12 weeks pregnant and absolutely terrified of my NT scan 😭

I’m a first-time mom and I have my NT scan this weekend. I’m 12 weeks now, and I am SO scared. I honestly can’t stop thinking about the ultrasound and what they might find.

I haven’t felt any baby movements yet, which I know is completely normal at 12 weeks, but somehow that’s making me even more anxious.
I keep worrying that I’ll go for the scan and something will be wrong, even though I have no reason to think that.

I’m also realizing how overwhelmed I am by this whole pregnancy. I’m scared of the NT scan, scared about getting through the rest of the pregnancy, scared of delivery, postpartum, and everything that comes after. But right now, the NT scan is the thing I’m most terrified about.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who felt this anxious before their NT scan. 🥺

How did your NT scan go? Did you also feel absolutely terrified beforehand? I could really use some reassurance and positive experiences right now. ❤️

Am I misunderstanding what a baby registry actually is? 😭

I recently came across something called a baby registry — Walmart baby registry, Amazon baby registry, etc. — and I’m genuinely trying to understand how this works.
From what I’ve understood so far, you basically add all the baby items you need from different stores to your registry and then share it with family and friends so they can buy those things for you as gifts.
If that’s actually what it is… who does this?! 😂

Like, imagine calling someone and saying, “Hey, can you buy me a car seat?” 😭

When I first heard about baby registries, I assumed they were something that made life easier for expecting parents, like you make a list of things you need and the registry gives you discounts, coupons, or some kind of deal on those items.

I had NO idea it was basically a wishlist that you send to people so they can buy the stuff for you.
Am I understanding this correctly? 😂
Do people actually use baby registries this way? And if you’ve used one, what was your experience like?

Struggling to eat or drink at 7 weeks pregnant

Today I’m 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and I honestly don’t know how people get through this.
My throat feels full all the time, but my stomach is constantly hungry. I haven’t really eaten, yet I feel like food is sitting all the way up to my throat. The moment I try to eat even a few bites, the acid reflux and heartburn kick in. The nausea never really leaves either.
My doctor told me to stay hydrated, but how? I can barely take one sip of water before I feel completely full. It feels impossible to drink enough, let alone eat enough.
I’m hungry all the time, but I can’t eat. I’m thirsty, but I can’t drink. The acid reflux, the constant burping, the nausea… it’s just never-ending.
Does this eventually get better? If you went through this, what actually helped you eat or drink without feeling miserable? I could really use some advice because right now it feels like there’s no end in sight.

When does it stop?

I’m 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant today, and I honestly don’t know how people survive the first trimester.
I haven’t really eaten much today, but I still feel like my throat is full all the way up, almost like there’s no room for anything else. At the same time, my stomach feels hungry all the time. It’s the strangest feeling—hungry, but unable to eat.
The nausea never seems to go away, and the acid reflux is constant. Every time I try to eat even a small bite of something, the acid reflux kicks in. Even drinking water feels impossible.
My doctor keeps telling me to stay hydrated, but how? I take one sip of water and immediately feel like I can’t take another. It just sits there, makes the nausea worse, and sometimes feels like it’s wants to come back up. I’m scared because I know I need fluids, but my body just doesn’t want anything.
I’m exhausted, hungry, nauseous, have heartburn, and somehow still feel completely full at the same time. I feel like my throat is full, my stomach is empty, and I can’t even eat without feeling worse. It’s such a miserable combination.
Did anyone else go through this around 7–8 weeks? When did it start getting better? And if you could barely drink water, what actually helped you stay hydrated?
I could really use some hope right now because this feels never-ending.
